Y/N'S POV
I got out of work later than I expected, I've had such a bad day so far. There was so much paper work to go through today, all the kids were messing up and I didn't have anytime for lunch, if you hadn't worked out, I was a teacher and at a high school.
Normally I would stay at school until 6 or 6:30 but I was out at 7:30 an entire hour later, Scarlett was out working until 8 so I had just enough time to clean up a bit as I made a bit of a mess this morning.
I unlocked the door, turning on the lights and throwing my bag and coat down beside me and grabbed all the wrappers I left out this morning and put them away in the trash and all the other stuff away where they belonged.
I sighed heavily and walked up the stairs and into our room, changing out of my tight clothes and into one of Scarlett's t-shirts and into some joggers seen as it was the middle of winter.
SCARLETT'S POV
I had finally finished filming for the day, and left set and quickly got into my car, I hated leaving y/n in the house for long. She was literally a child when home alone and I normally return to something burnt, or the house a big mess, I heard her say something about her leaving a mess this morning so I was excited to see the mess she made.
I pulled into the driveway and locked my car, opening the front door almost tripping over y/n's bag and coat, i sighed leaning down and picking them both up and placed them where they were supposed to be
I walked into the kitchen and to my surprise it was clean, i thought she said she left a mess?
"Y/n" i shouted through the house waiting for her to run up to me like she does every evening when I get home. I knew something was wrong when I didn't get her running to me nor did I get a reply
"Love" i called out again and opened our bedroom door, seeing y/n curled up on the bed
"Y/n" i whispered in case she was asleep, i walked over and sat behind her and placed a hand on her back and peered over her body
"You okay" i asked rubbing her cheek and watched as she was just zoned out staring at the wall
"Y/n" i said again giving her a little shake, she snapped out of her trance and looked at me
"Scarlett you're home" y/n said half excitedly and sat up in bed and leaned over giving me a hug
"Yeah, why you up here, you never lay in bed after work" I said keeping a hold of her as she shuffled closer into me and rested against me
"Bad day" she mumbles looking down and picking at her finger nails, i hummed in response letting her explain and held her hand tightly
"All the kids were being loud and annoying and I had so much paper work and then I got out at 7:30 instead of 6:30 and, and I haven't even had any lunch and I love lunch because you make it for me and I couldn't even eat" Y/n rambled on getting more and more upset
"Hey" i said soothingly pulling her forward and cupped her cheeks as she looked up at me sadly
"It's okay, everyone has bad days my love, especially when they work in a school full of annoying kids" i said rubbing the side of her face. Y/n giggled and leaned forward, giving me a soft kiss which I returned
"Shall we go and eat, seen as you haven't had anything" I said standing up and extending my hand which y/n took, i lead her down to the kitchen, and stood behind her holding her waist as she looked in the fridge
"Why is there no butter" y/n groaned throwing her head back onto my chest
"Why do you need butter" i questioned as I thought we were going to make dinner
"Just want butter" Y/n mumbled and crossed her arms letting the fridge door close
"Why don't, you go have a nap while I cook some dinner for us and then you can wake up and eat" I suggested rubbing y/n's shoulders
"Okay" she sighed turning around and giving me a kiss before walking off into the living to have a nap on the sofa.
I knew how tired y/n was and how she wanted to rest, so I made some simple pasta with the usual sauce which thankfully cooked in under 10 minutes
"Y/n, baby" i whispered shaking y/n's arm and pushing the hair out her face
"Dinner's ready" I said kissing her cheek as her eyes started to flutter open
"Can we eat through here, please" y/n practically begged
"Of course lovely" i said ruffling her hair and going back into the kitchen, grabbing both bowls and heading back to y/n in the living room
"Wake up" i whispered, giggling slightly rubbing y/n's cheek again
"Whyyy" y/n whines rolling onto her back and rubbing her eyes
"So you can eat silly" i said lifting the coffee table closer to the sofa. I lifted y/n's legs up and sat down, placing them back on my lap
"Thank you babe" y/n gasped and sat up seeing the pasta
"I love pasta" she said to herself and picked up her fork and twisted it around her fingers. I laughed at her actions and scooted closer to her as she was now sitting up and started to dig into my dinner as well turning on the tv as it was right in front of us.
"Mm, that was so nice Scar" Y/n hummed placing her bowl back down on the table and snuggling into the side of me
"Thank you love" I smiled and held the fork up to y/n's mouth, she chuckled taking one bite of mine before I finished it off and placed it beside y/n's bowl
"Can you hug me" y/n asked me looking up and giving me her little innocent eyes
"I'll always hug you" I opened up my arm, letting y/n in. She leaned further into me and rested her head on my chest wrapping her arm around my waist, i brung my hand up and started massaging her scalp soothing her down
"I love you" she whispered faintly and closed her eyes
"I love you more" i whispered back placing a kiss on her forehead and rubbing the hair out of her face
