Mother!Scarlett + daughter!reader (f)

SCARLETT'S POV
"Don't like it" y/n shouted, thrashing about in Scarlett's arms
"Y/n, can you please stop until we get home" Scarlett almost begged holding y/n up right in her arms, y/n was over tired, Scarlett had a friends house she had to go to, to drop something off, but ended up in the two adults having a massive conversation.
"I'll see you later" Scarlett said waving as she left the house and walked down to her car
"I'm sorry that took so long baby" Scarlett apologised as y/n started crying when Scarlett was buckling her into her car seat
"Mama go home" Y/n sobbed stretching out her hands and making grabby hands towards Scarlett
"I know you do baby, we'll be home soon" Scarlett said kissing y/n's palms and securing her buckles making sure she was safely strapped in. Scarlett was quick to get into the car and drive home as fast as she possibly could as her screaming toddler thrashed about in her car seat behind her
"Mama want you" Y/n sobbed kicking the seat in front of her, Scarlett pulled up into her drive and again quickly got out the car this time and rushed over to unclip y/n.
"Mama's here now" Scarlett soothing said lifting y/n into her arms and bouncing her and locking up her car
"Let's calm down my love" Scarlett whispered kissing y/n's head and unlocking her front door, letting herself and y/n into the house
"b-bad y/n" y/n whimpered and sniffles while looking up to Scarlett
"No baby, you're not bad, just very tired and that's mama's fault for taking you out so late" Scarlett cooed and patted y/n's back while walking up the stairs and into y/n's bedroom
"Sleep time" y/n questioned looking around the room as Scarlett placed y/n down in her toddler bed as she was in her pyjamas since 8 o'clock
"Yes sleepy time sunshine" Scarlett chuckled and sat next to y/n's tired figure on the bed and rubbed her stomach
"No mama, check for monsters" Y/n said seriously, removing Scarlett's hand from her stomach. Scarlett laughed a bit louder and got off of y/n's bed, crouching down and looking under the bed
"No monsters" Scarlett said from under the bed before popping back up and sitting back down
"No monsters" y/n repeated to herself and put Scarlett's hand back on her stomach, Scarlett nodded her head and rubbed circles on y/n's stomach in hopes of making her fall asleep.
After a long 10 minutes, y/n was still awake, Scarlett knew that y/n would't fall asleep if she was still in the room
"Mama's gotta go do something downstairs, so y/n needs to go na night" Scarlett said leaning forward and stroking y/n's cheek
" 'kay" y/n whispered shutting her eyes and playfully snoring, Scarlett giggled at y/n's actions and pecked her small pink lips
"One more mama" Y/n said snapping open her eyes and pouting her lips, Scarlett smiled and leaned forward again, pecking y/n's lips a little longer this time
"Goodnight my sweet girl" Scarlett whispered turning on the baby monitor knowing how wild y/n could get at bedtime and kissed her forehead one last time before leaving her bedroom.
Scarlett wasn't even at the top of the stair case before she felt a tug at her pants, she turned around, looking down and raising an eyebrow at y/n
"You didn't close my curtains mama, baddie's might get in" Y/n said jumping up and down on the spot, Scarlett sighed, grabbing y/n's hand and walking back into the bedroom. Scarlett lifted y/n back into bed and shut the curtains tightly checking with y/n to see if they were correct
"Goodnight y/n, stay in bed" Scarlett said kissing y/n's cheek and standing at the door frame, watching y/n turnover and cuddle up with her teddy. She smiled and walked downstairs to start on cleaning the living room which had teddy's and toys laying about the floor.
After Scarlett had finished cleaning up she shut all the lights and switches off and made her way back upstairs, she peeked into y/n's bedroom seeing that she was still awake and talking to her teddy.
Scarlett silently left and walked down to her bedroom, turning in her baby monitor so she could hear what y/n was saying as she changed herself, getting ready for bed
"Mama wanna drink" Y/n whined through the monitor, Scarlett watched as she turned over in her bed and looked into the monitor
"Y/n, baby, sleepy time" Scarlett said pressing the microphone button and speaking through it
"No wanna drink" Y/n shouted sitting up and throwing her head back, Scarlett sighed and got out of bed, grabbing y/n's sippy cup and walking next door to y/n's room
"Y/n, you need to go to sleep. I'm not playing any games with you. This isn't funny anymore" Scarlett said sternly handing y/n the sippy cup and laying her back down
"But you- i- NO" Y/n screamed arching her back and letting her tears fall down her face, Scarlett was suddenly taken back by the sudden outburst and was unsure of why y/n randomly acted like this
"We are not screaming at bed time" Scarlett scolded pulling the duvet over y/n's body and sitting down beside her
"Y/n i don't know what you want. I'm tired and want to sleep" Scarlett said calming y/n down and rubbing the sides of her face
"Sorry" y/n mumbled, frowning and looking away, Scarlett sighed and placed her palm on y/n's chest
"It's okay, please just try and get some sleep lovely" Scarlett said soothingly, brushing y/n's hair back, y/n gave Scarlett a small nod and held her teddy bear again
"Goodnight" Scarlett repeated for what felt like the 100th time before shutting y/n's door and walking back down to her room. Scarlett finally settled into bed, book in hand and warmed up, that was until she saw her door open up
"Stay quiet, might 'ake mama up" Y/n loudly whispered to her teddy bear and 'quietly' closed Scarlett's bedroom door before trying to climb up Scarlett's bed.
Once y/n had successfully got onto Scarlett's bed, she slowly crawled over, freezing when Scarlett moved her eye's from the book to y/n and raised both her eyebrows
"I- i saw a monster under my bed, so me and pebble had a 'oversation and came in here so mama, who is you can 'rotect us from the bad monsters" y/n said pointing to Scarlett and shaking her head, Scarlett couldn't help but smile. She put her book away and held out her arms, y/n smiled and crawled over to Scarlett, wrapping her arms around Scarlett's neck
"I love you mama" Y/n said sweetly
"I love you too trouble, goodnight, again" Scarlett chuckled and slid down the bed so they were both in a comfortable position.
Scarlett sighed happily when y/n's breathing had evened out due to Scarlett patting y/n's bottom and humming a soft song in y/n's ear.
Y/n's grip on her teddy grew thinner and thinner which led to it falling to the floor.
Y/n shot up, now sitting on Scarlett's stomach and rubbed her eyes. Before she could say anything, Scarlett stretched her arm over and grabbed the teddy bear, handing it back to her.
Y/n hummed and fell back down onto Scarlett's chest and being that awkward child she was, bringing her right leg up so it was over Scarlett's waist. Scarlett laid and admired y/n. Y/n caused a lot of trouble at times but that was just the fun part of being a mother to her.
