"Just do it."

Your head snapped over from your computer screen, eyes bugging at Layne.

She held her hands up defensively. "Sorry. Sorry. Just do him."

You groaned, rolling your eyes. Had she not heard anything that came out of your mouth over the past hour? Layne taunted you with a look, smirking at your visible distress.

You pinched your eyes shut, burying your face in your hands and letting out a soft groan. You'd been so on edge since your 'truce' with Chris and you haven't even spoken to the man since Monday!

Something changed between you two. You could feel it. But you didn't know what. He had accepted your simple peace offering of coffee before skating off and since then, zip. Nada. Nothing. No accidental run-ins, no walking you to your car at night. You'd seen him on the rink, he was definitely here. Just not... around.

Today was Thursday. And you were desperately trying to stop yourself from reading into the fact that after he skated away from you and winked that he said 'see you Thursday'. Because it didn't mean anything. Just that you'd see him. Probably. Maybe.

No... Definitely. You definitely would be seeing him tonight. In a couple of hours.

Another home game. You'd be behind the bench with him at the game. Not that he spent that much time on the bench. But still. The thought of being so close to him sent a bolt of electricity across your body, but you just pretended like you didn't know what to make of it.

"But seriously, Y/N. Do you actually think that people follow that clause?"

"Yes!" You shouted incredulously. "Do people not?"
