It's been over a year now. And it still hurts. When they think of it. Which is almost everyday. It was very hard. At first. It's still hard. To this day. It's still hard. Just thinking about her. Seeing things they reminded them. Of her. And it hurts. Not knowing where she was. Not knowing if she would ever. Come back. And they wanted her back. But she wasn't here.
She had been gone. For almost fourteen months. At first. They thought that they could bring her back. That they could find a way. But. As time went on. That bubble of hope. Got smaller. And kept getting smaller. For some. It was gone. That they couldn't get her back. But. For others. They still held on. Hoping. That one day. Aspen Lily Potter. Would be back.
And they tried. They really tried. When they found out she was hit with a Time Traveling Spell. And they knew. That there was something out there. A book. That could bring her back. They looked everywhere. Everywhere in the world. But. They never found it. Never. It was gone. Whatever spells. And Enchantments were on it. It was powerful. No one knew where it was. So. No book. No bringing Aspen back. And they wanted her back.
Draco Malfoy. He would tell himself. Everyday. That Aspen find her way back. He knew she was strong. That she would come back. But. As time went on. He lost his hope. He thought he would never see her again. At first. When anyone would bring her up. Saying that she might not come back. He would tell them they were wrong. She would be back. She would. And he kept by that. For eight months. After that. He started to lose hope. At ten months. He told himself that she was gone. She wan't coming back. Never. When he went home. He told himself that he would forget her. She was never coming back. So why remember. But she never left his mind. Never. Even when he tried. And just thought about his new life. His task. She was always there. In the back of his mind. She never left. At a year. Since she was gone. He pretended like she never existed. Even though she was still in his mind. He pretended. And focused on his task. His new life.
Ron Weasley. Everyday. He told the others. That they would find a way to bring her back. That she would be fine. She was strong. She would be back. Even now. He still does. Even if he has lost a little hope. He knew she would come back. She had to. If she did. Everything would be fine. She may be a Slytherin. But she was still his friend. And he cared for her. A lot. He wanted her back too. He really did. If she was back. Everything would go back to normal. Everything would be fine.
Hermione Granger. She said she would be back. She had to be. Her best friend. Aspen had to come back. She had to. At first. Hermione spent hours. In the Library. Looking for anything that might help. Bring Aspen back. But she found nothing. She read almost all the books. But she found nothing. The Library had let her down. It had never let her down. But now it did. She found nothing. She wanted her best friend back. So much. Sure. She loved the two boys. But she missed Aspen. So much. From the beginning. They had been best friends. And she wanted it back. Aspen needed to come back. And Hermione wouldn't stop. Until she did.
Harry Potter. He wanted his sister back. The only family he really had left. Sure. He had Sirius. But it wasn't the same. He wanted his sister back. She was always there. Even though she was in Slytherin. She was always there. No matter what. Whenever he needed her. She was there. The family he saw everyday. And now he was alone. He needed her back. And soon. Going over a year without her. Was hard. Not seeing her everyday. It hurt. It really did. It was very hard. Especially when Umbridge started asking questions. When she asked. No one answered. No one spoke of it. It was hard. Not to notice a student missing. Especially when one was a Potter. She would ask Harry all the time. Where his sister was. He would never answer. Telling her. It was none of her business. He got many detentions for that. But. No matter how much Umbridge asked. Harry never said anything. It hurt. To speak of her. And when he got those visions. The one's with Voldemort. He wished Aspen was there. He wanted her there. She would know what to do. She would have helped him. And when he went to the Department of Mysteries. He wished she was there. At his side. Helping him defeat the Death Eaters. Fighting by his side. But she wan't. She wasn't there. Wasn't there. And then. When Sirius was almost killed. He wanted her there. If Sirius had died. None of his family would be left. They would all be gone. He would have no more family. They would have all left him. But. Sirius didn't die. But he almost did. Harry still wished Aspen was there. By his side. Together. They would have dealt with Sirius's near death. But she wasn't there. And he wished she was. He still had a little bit of hope left. Just enough. But. Deep down. He knew she was gone. And she wasn't coming back.
