—-The Next Day—-

After talking all night Patience and Coop ended up falling asleep on Coop's bedroom floor when suddenly Coop heard someone enter the house knowing it was her parents she tried waking up Patience.

"Patience, come on. You got to get up. Wake up." Coop said to her Patience as she tried to wake her up.

"OK, just give me one second." Patience said

"No, you don't have a second." Coop said as her mom busted into her room.

"Oh, hey, Patience." Mrs. Cooper said

"Hi." Patience said

"Maybe you should get home before your mom gets worried." Mrs. Cooper said

"Yes, ma'am." Patience said

"Good morning, Tamia. Breakfast in 10." Mrs. Cooper said

"OK." Coop said

—-Meanwhile—-

"So you want to tell me why you had me call everyone here?" Jordan asked

"Look, man, I'm sorry about yesterday. It's kind of messed up it took being face down with you in the concrete to realize We ain't all that different. And I probably would have realized that sooner if I hadn't been pushing y'all away." Spencer said

"What's with the impromptu meet-up?" Asher asked

"Spencer's got something to say," Jordan said

"Hey, thank y'all for showing up. And I don't mean just this morning, I mean yesterday, too. Hey, yo, my last team, we were like a family, and I just assumed y'all weren't driven by that same bond, and that's my bad." Spencer said

"But y'all turning up for me yesterday showed me what kind of team y'all really are, and I want in on that. Crenshaw will always be a part of who I am, but being a Beverly Eagle, that's a part of who I'm becoming. And look, man, I know I lost last week's game." Spencer continued

"No, you didn't. I threw an interception third quarter. You didn't lose that game alone." Jordan said

"Missed tackle, second quarter," JJ said

"Pass interference, fourth quarter," Lucas said

"Clouded judgment. Unnecessary roughness." Asher said

"You didn't even play last week," JJ told Asher

"That's what kept me from playing. I lost us the game before you even stepped on the field." Asher said and they all nodded.

"All right, let's break it down, boys. Get in here. Eagles on three. 1, 2, 3." Jordan said and they all got in a circle and put their hands on top of each other in the center.

"Eagles!" All the Eagles yelled as they put their hand in the air.

"All right," Jordan said

—-Later at the Cooper family house—-

"No, seriously, Dillon beat him at dominoes again. You should have seen Mr. Roundtree's face. I thought he was gonna.." Coop said as she got cut off by her mom.
