The British Empire wished they could attack sooner. He felt like his plan would fail, and the Austrian Empire would turn him and everyone he loved into gold. It was scary to think about. Such a creature shouldn't exist.

The Russian Empire had come by earlier that night, requesting a meeting with the three Empires planning to stop AE. He already had some blueprints drawn when they entered the room.

"I think I know some places we can enter." RE began right away. "I think the Swedish and Ottoman Empire, as well as America, can go in through the ceiling. AE has a skylight there above his throne. Britain, you can go with the Dutch Empire through the garden. There may be some... unsettling statues there though. After inheriting HRE's castle, AE didn't move his father away from where he died."

"What about you, me and Spain?" The French Empire asked, clearly trying to hide her unease from the mention of turning to gold.

"We'll go through the door. I can always go up to the front door, acting as if I wanted to meet him. Spain and France can hide on either side of the door, and then attack as AE opens the door." RE answered. "Of course, you can always change this plan how you like it, this is mostly what I came up with when I was there."

"It's a good plan. How did your visit to AE go by the way? He wasn't suspicious, was he?" SE asked, coughing a little bit. BE wondered if he was sick.

"Not at all. I told him I was there because I was worried about how he was doing with Prussia gone. We talked in the garden a bit, had some tea, then I left." Russia said.

"What did you talk about?" The British Empire wondered aloud.

"I asked him how he was doing, if he had any contact with A-H and GE recently, and how he was doing after the last incident." RE paused for a second. "He does feel bad, you know, for killing Prussia."

"Interesting. You can go get some sleep, Russia. You've earned it. We'll see if we can figure out what we can improve in the plan." BE smiled at RE.

"Thank you. I just hope it works." The Russian Empire smiled back. Britain did not catch the crossed fingers behind his back as he left the room.

"I'm glad we invited him. I was worried he would turn out like REC and the Portuguese Empire, but he stayed loyal to us." The Spanish Empire sighed in relief, then doubled over coughing.

"Are you alright, Spain?" France asked in concern.

"Yes, yes, I'm fine." He waved her away. "Speaking of your grandson and PE, we should check on them. They'll probably want to warn Austria about the assassination."

"I'll go see them. In the meantime, SE, you should get that cough checked out." BE suggested before heading up the stairs towards the many guest bedrooms.

He had a bad feeling that they may not be in their room when he got there. The whole mission could go down in flames if they had managed to get out and let AE know their plans. Britain could not let that happen.

He opened the door, fearing the worst.

"Hey BE, can we go yet?" A bored voice whined. Thank goodness, they were still there.

"No Portugal, sorry. You can go after we are done with the mission." He replied to the voice, stepping inside. REC was glaring at him, as usual, while PE looked hopeful.

"Aw," the Portuguese Empire said, "can I at least get some coffee?"

"We're going to run out if you keep asking for some, but I'll see what I can do." BE was just relieved that they were still there.

"Yay!" PE cried. REC looked indifferent to the conversation, looking out a window instead.

"Something on your mind, Canada?" BE asked.

"Nah," He responded, "I'm good."

The British Empire certainly hoped they were okay, and would stay in the room without escaping. The whole plan depended on it.

"Phew," the Portuguese Empire sighed as the British Empire left the room. "We almost didn't get back in time."

"Yeah, BE almost caught us." REC laughed. "I hope our plan will work."

"It will, I'm sure of it. So long as nobody finds out that we can escape."

"Yeah. Kind of stupid that they left the door unlocked."

"We rely on that kind of stupidity."

"True."

"..."

"..."

"I really need some coffee right now-"

"GODDAMMIT PORTUGAL!!!"
