Cat plopped into her desk chair, not quite sure where to begin. She took her computer out of her bag, powered up her laptop, and started contacting different providers for the services Dylan had requested.

After making the referrals, she got stuck. Cat was required to write notes summarizing the meeting. They needed to include the who, what, when, and where, with the notes staying objective—strictly observable. Were transparent, crystalline monsters objective?

She had seventy-two hours to complete the notes, so she made the difficult (ahem) decision to close her laptop. That's a mission for another day.

She glanced at her watch—5:30. Cat packed up her laptop, and went home to change before dinner at 7:00.

She unlocked her apartment, and eased the door open—hating the feeling of paranoia that had been stalking her since this afternoon. Had she imagined a figure next to Henry? The bulbous fingers sliding down her arm? Taps on her window?

Cat shook her head, walking to her bedroom. Her walls were a very pale blue, her furniture in shades of cream. After her dreams of the castle began she had redecorated her apartment to feel like it was right outside the beach. And no, Missouri is not known for its beaches.

She pulled out several dresses to choose from. Hell, she didn't want to spend the night alone. Maybe she would let the penis have a temporary hotel stay.

With that in mind, she chose a form fitting cobalt blue dress with thin straps, and a slit that traveled up five inches up her leg. She wiggled into the dress, which came to mid thigh, and smiled. Mr. Penis didn't stand a chance.

Cat spent the next thirty minutes curling her hair, and touching up her make-up. She started when there was a series of raps on her door, and exhaled shakily. She opened the door to find Kiki on the other side.

Kiki got a look at her and whistled. "Holy guacamole. Looks like you changed your mind about the penis."

Cat smiled, "Yep. If I like him, I'm leaving the option open. It's been a day."

She frowned. "Wanna talk about it?"

"Not right now. Right now, I want to drink multiple margaritas and get laid. We can talk later. What shoes should I wear with this?" Cat turned around and went to the closet next to the kitchen wear she kept her shoes.

Kiki hip bumped her out of the way and hunkered down for a long look. "These silver stilettos would be killer, but I know you don't like heels. There are these cute black flats with satin bows on them that'll work, too."

"Let's go with the stilettos." She put them on and stood. "Shit. I'm almost as tall as you in these, Keeks."

At five-two, Cat didn't come close to Kiki's five-nine willowy frame. Though the stilettos did add a good three inches to her height. She did a little spin. "I'm an Amazon!"

"Okay, Xena. We should head out now." Kiki turned towards Cat. "Oh! And whatever you did with your eyes is amazing. It's like they have golden streaks in them. They're practically glowing.

You'll have to show me what make up you use to do that. It's wicked."
