Y/n's pov.
"When's it supposed to happen?" by now five has explained to luther everything. The apocalypse and shit. "This... apocalypse.." "I can't give you the exact hour, but... from what I could gather we have four days left." he says softly. "Why didn't you say something sooner?" he asks with a louder volume. "Here we go.." i mumble. "It wouldn't have mattered." he said, "Of course it would." We could've banded together and helped you try to stop this thing." he says, "For the record, you already tried." he says, i lean back on the bed. I hadn't slept at all last night, i was thinking over everything. "What do you mean?" he asks, it's a long silence, but he finally spoke up. "I found all of you. Your bodies." he says, i could hear the hint of hurt in his voice. "We die?" he asks, i remember the day we saw it. Their bodies scattered around, cut, bruised and hurt. Most of all lifeless. "Horribly." i mutter. "You were together. Trying to stop whoever it was that ends the world." Luther looks away in disbelief but quickly looks back, "Wait, how do you know that?" He pulls out the eye, "This was clutched in your dead hand when i found you." he says, rising the eyeball up to show it before throwing it towards him. "Must've ripped it out of their head right before you went down." he suggests, "Whose head?" "Like we've said, we don't know." i say as i sigh.
"Well, there's a serial number on the back. Think maybe you could try—." "No, that's a dead end." he chuckles, "it's just another hunk of glass." he says. I rise up as i hear the sound of the door bashing open. "Piece of shit." Diego mutters as he walks in down the stairs. Luther quickly rises up, "Do you have any idea what you just did?" he asks, charging at Five. But Luther jumps in to hold him back. I rise up from the bed, sitting down next to Five after. "Nope, let me- Get your ape hands off of me!" he shouts. "I can do this as long as it takes you to calm down." he says, he finally stops squirming, "Fine." he says quietly as he pants heavily. Luther let's him go and his feet hit the floor.
"Now, wanna tell us what you're talkin about?" he questions, "Our brother and sister have been pretty busy since they got back. They were in the middle of that shoot out at Griddy's, and then at the Gimble brothers after the guys in masks attacked the academy looking for them!" he exclaims, pointing in our direction. "None of which is any of your concern." he says, "It is now." he says, "They just killed my friend." he finishes as he's still panting. I glance over at five, he stays glancing over at them. "Who are they?" "They work for my former employee. A woman called The Handler." he says, "She sent them, to stop us. Then, soon as Diego's friend got in their way, well, fair game." "And now they're my fair game." he says lowly, "And i'm gonna see to it they pay." "That would be a mistake, Diego." he calls out. "They've killed people far more dangerous than you." "Diego! They can kill you." I exclaim, "Yeah, we'll see about that." he says as he slams the door behind him.
I sigh, "He's walking into a death trap at this point." i mutter, "Former employer? What's this really about, Five? And don't give me any of this, it's none of your business crap, all right?" "Well, it's a long story." he says, he sits down at the chair.

3rd person/Flashback:.
He points the gun up, aiming at the lady. She was wearing a black cloak, as well as a black hat and shades. She waved at the older man, causing him to yell. "Who the hell are you?" He shouts. "I'm here to help." she calls out. "Tell me why i shouldn't put a bullet through your head right now!" he shouts, "Because, if you did..." she pauses as he she sets a brief case down. Y/n stared at the woman giving a puzzled look, "you wouldn't hear the offer i'm about to make you." she finishes. "Which would he rather tragic, given your.... current circumstances." she says as he sits down. "I work for an organization called the Commission. We are tasked with the preservation of the time continuum through manipulation and removals." she says, he's lowered his gun by now. "I don't understand." Y/n calls out, "Sometimes, people... make choices that alter time. Free will, don't get me started. When that happens, we dispatch one of our agents to... eliminate the threat." He picks his gun back up again, "No, no, no, no." she says as she chuckles, "You misunderstand me. You're not a target. You're a recruit." he lowers his gun again, "I've come to offer you a job, Number five and Number eight. We've had our eye on you two for quite some time." she says.
Y/n was full of confusion along with five. "And we think you two have a lot of potential. You're survival skills have made you quite a celebrity back at headquarters." she says with a grin, "That and your abilities to jump through time and manipulate objects with your mind." Five walks up by a few steps, gun still in hand. "You're saying that we... we could actually leave here?" he asks for reassurance. "Go.. go back?" he stammers. "In return for five years of service. Once your contract is done, you can retire to the time and place of your choosing with a pension plan to boot." "If you can alter time, why not just stop all of this from happening?" y/n asks, receiving a glance from The handler. "That's quite impossible, i'm afraid." she replies, "You see, all of this, it was supposed to happen." she says rising her hands up. "That's insane. The end of everything?" Five says, "Not everything. Just the end of... something." she says, "So.." she reaches her hand out. "Do we have an agreement?" she asks with a grin, five scoffs.
He looks back at Delores then back at the Handler who was still reaching her hand out.

y/n's pov:
"They turned us into the perfect instrument for rehabilitation of the time continuum. Or 'corrections' as they called them. We weren't the only ones. There are others like me. Beings out of time, fractured, extracted from the lives that they knew." he continued, "I don't know how they got there. But i do know that none of them were as good as me." he says. "They didn't realize it, but i was biding my time, trying to figure out the right equation so we could get back. If i could just get back, i knew i could stop the apocalypse. Save the world." he says, Luther just stares at him as he continues on. "So we broke our contract." he finished. "So, you were a hit man?" he asks, handing him a plate and a cup. "Yes." he replies. "Uh.. i mean, you had a code, right? You didn't kill just anybody." "No code. We had to take out anyone who messed with the time line." I say, staring at the ceiling. "What about innocent people?" "It was the only way we could get back here." he defends.
"But that's murder." he says, "Jesus, Luther. Grow up." he says, "We're not kids anymore. There's no such thing as good guys or bad guys. There's just people, goin about their lives." he says softly, "But when the world ends, all those people die. Including our family." Luther looks in disbelief. Five sighs, "Time changes everything." he mutters.
