Jimin listened to the oncologist as he spoke about treatment and clinical trials. Yoongi had accompanied him to the oncologist's office while Tae stayed with Areum who seemed jovial that morning.

For this clinical trial, you have to go to Seoul as they are only available there. I already submitted her case for review at SMC. Jimin nodded not sure what to ask. In the meantime, I'd like to know your family history and that of the other father.
I'll get you that right away doc, Yoongi spoke up. He ushered Jimin out of the office and back to his daughter.

He had to go back to Seoul. He hadn't been there for four years. Fate was so unfair to him. He felt drained. Once he got in Areum's room, he smiled brightly seeing her laugh with Taehyung. He watched them play not wanting to interrupt their Sunday routine.

Yoongi came back to the room after a while. He sat next to him on the couch. I've made some calls to Seoul. Our house will be ready this evening. When do you want us to go?
Tomorrow. Doc is discharging her this evening. If she's a match for the trials, then I want her to start as soon as possible. They spoke in low tones.
Have you thought about what we talked about yesterday?
Yes, hyung. He's going to hate me. I don't even know if he still lives in the apartment we shared. I'm scared of disrupting his life again.
Just be honest with him, okay? Jimin nodded.

That same evening, when he got home with Areum he lay her down on the bed after feeding her and began packing their stuff. He didn't know how long the treatments would be so he packed most of her stuff. He wanted her to feel comfortable. Once he was done it was nearly midnight. He took a quick shower and got in bed next to her. He brushed her hair from her face and kissed her forehead.

I'm taking you home baby, back to your daddy. I hope he'll accept us my little gem and even if he doesn't, when have I ever given up on you? I'm sorry I wasn't able to take you to him sooner. Forgive appa for being weak. He whispered to her.

He was up early the following day to make breakfast for Areum. He woke her up and fed her as he ate his toasted bread. He had talked to her at the hospital, explaining as far as she could understand why they were leaving their home. He cleaned her up and noticed some lumps on her neck.
Are you in pain baby?
No. Sleepy. As soon as he dressed her he put her on the bed and covered her with her blankie. He got himself ready making sure to check on her s few times.

Are you sure you don't want to take more of your things.
I'm sure Tae. Areum is all that matters now. They put his things in the boot of the car. Yoongi who was carrying Areum, strapped her in her car seat. They got in the car.

Soon they were on the road to Seoul. Yoongi had suggested an early morning drive before traffic became terrible. He felt so nervous not knowing the outcome of their visit. It could end up with him and his baby dead. He popped an anxiety pill in his mouth and swallowed it.

Minie calm down. I'm sure everything will be fine. Tae told him.  He did his breathing exercise and felt more calm. The pill made him drowsy and he gave in to sleep. Jungkook would take care of everything.

When he came to, they were already on the outskirts of Seoul and Areum was already awake chatting away with her uncles. He just stared at her. She looked so happy.
Will we go to an amusement park here?
Of course sweetheart, what do you take me for? I'm your super uncle Taetae. Tae snorted which made them laugh.

Are we there yet?
In a few pretty. What do you want to do first?
Ice cream. She shouted.
Later baby. I have to take you to meet someone first.
Daddy? Did he come back? she was so eager. Jimin just nodded afraid if he spoke, he would cry. He hated himself for separating them. Taetae I'm going to meet my daddy.
I heard sweetheart. You work your charms on him, alright? She nodded.
Then he can take us to get ice cream, the park, and Disney.
Yoonie and I took you to Disney last year.
She frowned, But I want to go with appa and daddy again.
Of course baby. I'm sure your daddy wouldn't mind. He looked at Yoongi who was still driving but kept glancing at them from the rearview mirror.

Everything will be okay Chim. Trust hyung. They got quiet for some time until Yoongi announced they were entering the Jeon Empire. The car came to a halt at the entrance. Jimin stared outside at the big building. He had been here a couple of times before. Want us to wait for you?
No. I'll call you once we are done. Go home and rest. Jimin unbuckled his belt and that of his daughter. He opened the door and got out. Tae got out with him. He picked Areum up and Tae handed him her bag which had her snacks and extra pairs of clothes. He slung it on his shoulder. Tae hugged him, Good luck minie mouse.

Thank you, Tae. Tae got back in the car and he watched as they drove off getting back in traffic. You ready baby? She nodded happily. He turned and walked into the building. He passed through security and they directed him to the reception.
Good morning sir, how can I help you today? A lady stood up and asked him.
My name is Park Jimin. I would like to see Jeon Jungkook please.
Do you have an appointment?
No. Isn't he available at all?

She clicked on her computer and then dialed a number on her desk phone.
There's a Park Jimin for Mr. Jeon here, is he available?... Right thank you. she turned back to him. Please have a seat over there. She pointed to the waiting area, I'll inform you as soon as he is available.
Thank you. He walked to the couches and sat down putting Areum next to him. Would you like a snack while we wait for daddy?
No thank you. Uncle Yoonie got me chips while you were sleeping.
He didn't even know they stopped. He removed her tablet from the bag and handed it to her to play. He decided to research more about her condition. There was a lot of vocabulary which was giving him a headache.

Daddy! Areum shouted startling him. She put her tablet down, got down from the couch, and ran towards the entrance where Jungkook was talking to security. His back was to Jimin but he couldn't mistake him for anything. He stood on wobbly legs telling Areum to slow down. He approached them slowly.

Daddy. He heard Areum call him again, and this time Jungkook turned and stared down at her. He saw how his eyes widened before he leaned down to her level.
Hi, little lady. He said in his deep voice that sent shivers down Jimin's spine.
Daddy you came! Missed you so much. Areum told him before launching herself in his arms. He picked her up.
Ah really? Where have you been hiding? And where's your mama?
Jimin was grateful that he hadn't scolded or pushed her away.
Appa.
I'm right here baby. Jungkook looked up and he saw how his doe eyes filled with tears when he saw him. I...
Not here. Let's go. Jungkook said curtly. Jungkook hated him.
I'll take her bag. He whimpered and went to the couch to pick up her tablet and bag. He wiped his tears quickly and went back. Jungkook led him to the elevator. He was still carrying Areum who was resting her head on his shoulder.

Daddy.
Yes, princess.
Are you mad at us?
No baby. I'm not mad.
Appa said you would come soon but you didn't. I waited so long. Jungkook pecked her forehead. The elevator opened and they got in. Jimin stood far from him and watched them.
Daddy was just busy princess. I'm sorry I'm late. Jungkook looked right at Jimin as he said that. Jimin felt extra guilty and looked at the floor.
He did this to them but he had no choice.
