Areum kept whining all the way home after their day out. They'd spent the day at an arcade, went to lunch then they visited Yoongi at his studio. Yoongi taught her some melodies till she said her fingers hurt. Now they were on their way home and she had mentioned how much she missed Yeontan.
I want to play with him. It's been so loong.

But why? she whined again. The little miss didn't like that answer.

I miss Tannie. She whispered. Tae looked at her from the rearview mirror. She looked so small. His little baby bear was sad because of a fucking disease. Uncle Taetae, do you think I'll die? She suddenly asked.

Tae stepped on emergency brakes due to shock. He heard a few hoots and started the car again. Tears filled his eyes but held them in.
Why would you think that? Uncle Hobi is treating you, right?
Yeah. she said with a sigh, I heard appa crying last night. He is scared I'll die uncle.

When they got to his house, he carried her inside the house. Would you like anything, sweet girl?

Shower first, then you can nap all you want. He took her to the bathroom and gave her a quick bath. He then dressed her in her pajamas and put her to bed. There was almost a full closet of her clothes in the house. Her room was just next to the master bedroom. Tae liked to spoil her a bit too much.

He went to his room and called Yoongi.
Hyungie... He said choking on a sob.
What's wrong baby? Are you okay? Yoongi asked hastily.
No. Need you please. Tae whispered.
On my way baby bear. Tell hyung what happened.
Areum asked me if she's going to die, he said finally letting the dam break.
Oh fuck! I'll be home soon baby. Just relax in the bathtub, okay?

Love you too. He hung up and headed to the bathroom discarding his clothes. That question had thrown him off-balance. He didn't feel like waiting for the tub to fill so he just opted for a quick shower. He got dressed in sweats and a vest and got in bed. He stared into space as his thoughts ran.

Yoongi got home after half an hour to find his husband in bed. He could hear sniffs and he hurried to remove his jacket, belt, and shoes before getting in bed. Baby. He kissed Tae's temple and pulled him in his arms. Hyung is here now. Tae cried out nuzzling on his chest.
Why her hyung? She's the best little girl ever.
I know baby. Hobi said there's a higher chance of her recovery.
Minie has been through enough shit already, when will he finally have a break. He's our family hyung. We were there at his lowest, saw how he struggled due to Jeon Ha-rin, how he stayed awake most nights when he gave birth afraid that she'd find them. We decided Kook doesn't need to know all that but it fucking hurts.
Everything will be taken care of Taetae. She won't harm him.
I know but he doesn't. Areum said she heard him crying last night saying he was afraid she'll die. I'm scared he'll have a relapse. Tae whispered the last part.
We'll talk to Kook about this when we drop Areum home tomorrow, okay? That way he'll know when he's on the verge of a panic attack.
