My eyes shoot open, and my body soaked with a cold sweat. My heart pounding, looking around the room cautiously. Paranoid while the bright lights sizzle.

"You're awake." Dr. Banner smiled quietly while holding a plain white coffee mug.

"May I take a look at your bandages?" He asks shyly.

Lifting my clothing as he examines the bandages, the aroma of cologne and strong coffee enters my nostrils.

Taking off his glasses as he wraps the wound in a fresh bandage.

"It's healing, slowly." He informed.

BRUCE'S POV
"I remember," She begins quietly
"I remember everything, the pain, the screams, the blood. I remember the monster everyone was afraid of was, was me. The monster I would see every single time I looked at my reflection and every single time I-I was afraid." She admitted, her Russian accent twisting with her words.

Tears slid down her cheeks but she showed no emotion. My stomach turned with guilt and sorrow.

"You weren't born a mon-monster," I stutter. "You were made, forced into a monster." I finish.

"Спасибо." ("Thank you.") She replied.

I furrow my eyebrows in confusion, questions racing through my mind.

"Thank you." She translated.
