I was sitting in belly's room trying to figure out what I'm going to wear to Nicole's party— " guys I need help, I have no idea what to wear "I express " I've got the perfect dress for you Lora " Taylor looks through her bag
she pulls out these shorts and a black top that could be counted as a bra " there is no way I can wear that? my brothers would bury me 6 feet deep if they saw me in that "I cringe looking at the outfit
" Oh come on— live a little Lora " Taylor smiles scooting the outfit towards me " FIne, but I'm blaming you when my brothers have a fit about it "I smile pointing at her
I put the outfit on and start to do my hair and makeup. I went for a more simple look just a half up half down hairstyle and some lipgloss and blush
" Look at us— we're hot-ass bitches " Taylor smiles looking at us all in the mirror

Cam Cam had driven us to Nicole's— as we walked in I noticed Jeremiah sitting on the couch and Conrad in the kitchen drinking his sorrows away

everyone says happy birthday to belly as Nicole starts to light the candles on this cake " is this for me? " belly asked " Who else would it be for, Belly? " Nicole smiles " Thank you, guys— these cakes are amazing, Nicole " belly complaints

okay so I lied— I needed to smoke, it's just I've been so stressed with everything going on. I need a release. I head upstairs and into a room where I know everyone is smoking
I join the group as we pass it around— I pretty much smoked two blunts by myself. as I'm about to roll another one a voice interrupts " Lora? " belly frowns
" Belly— what are you doing here? "I say putting the blunt out quick. she looks at me for a second then leaves— I jump up to follow her " belly wait "I say grabbing her arm and pulling her into a random bedroom
" belly you can't tell anyone you saw me in there— my brothers would kill me "I plead " what's going on with you Lora? why are you smoking, " belly asked "it's nothing okay— it's just a little weed, " I tell her
" belly you have to promise you won't tell anyone, especially my brothers "I put my hands on the sides of her " promise me bels "I whisper "I promise Lora— but you have to quit " belly whispered
" fine, ill quit "I lied— I was still holding belly's face. we were just staring at each other. there was an obvious tension between us, I looked from belly's eyes to her lips and back to her eyes
it was like nothing else mattered— it was just us and only then did I connect my lips with hers. the kiss started out slow and passionate like this was the release of all the tension that was building between us
then it started to speed up— it became aggressive and lustful, belly's hands roamed my body " jump "I whispered as belly's legs wrapped around my waist.
I place her on the bed and start to kiss down her neck— as belly's hands start to go farther down my shorts, we were interrupted by someone bursting through the door
we both jump apart to see it was Steven and Taylor— all of us stare at each other with wide eyes. I rush to close the door before anyone else sees us
" what is going on in here? " Steven growls " Nothing— we weren't doing anything "I lied straight through my teeth " sure then what all the hickeys on belly's neck " Steven pointed out
I blush knowing we've been caught " wait a minute— what were you guys doing coming in here? "I asked trying to change the subject
Steven and Taylor look at each other with a slight blush coming to their faces " Gross Taylor— Steven out of everyone "I gag realizing what they came up here for
" You're hooking up with my brother? " belly questioned "I swear it just happened " Taylor frowns " What, you got bored? He's dating someone, you know— someone he actually likes " belly argues
" You saying he couldn't like someone like me? " Taylor accused " No that's not what I'm saying— this could get really messed up. I mean, he's taking her to the deb ball and all those girls are her friends " belly continues
" God, I'm so sick of hearing about this fucking deb ball— I don't even know who you are anymore " Taylor rolls her eyes " Oh, why? Because she's not just going along with everything you want to do? "I step in
" you stay out of this— you know, you act so innocent belly like you're the victim " Taylor continues " you know what this conversation is fucking useless— belly lets go, " I say grabbing belly's arm and starting to walk awake
" oh so you choose some druggie over your best friend— I see where your priorities lie " Taylor smirks. I turn around and slap her " find your own way home tonight "I yelled
I walk out of the house and find the boys playing beer pong " can we go home " my voice cracked. I turn my head so that they don't see the tears welled up in my eyes
" Yeah, are you okay? " Conrad asked " yeah I'm fine, I just want to go home " I frown " okay let's go, " Conrad says walking to the car

the next morning belly went to drop off Taylor. obviously, I didn't go with them, I couldn't stand to see her after what she said.
I was looking everywhere for my mom when I see her talking to laurel "I know you said you didn't want to do chemo, but " laurel says "I'm not putting myself through treatment again— I know how much time I have left " my mom frowns
as soon as this information hits my ears— I rush back to the house and all I could think was
my mom's cancer is back.
