"You can't do this to me dad!"

"Oh honey, but I can"

I stared at my father angrily

"Stop over reacting. I'm just transferring you to another school"

"Just transferring me? Dad, you know that all my friends are in my current school!"

"Aren't you capable of making new friends?"

I can't answer him immediately. Of course I can, I just don't want to

"Look, I'm not doing this to make you suffer or anything. I just want the best for you. And besides, you need to learn to be adaptive of new environment"

"Dad, if this is about me taking over your place, then no. You know that I don't want to"

"What other choice do I have? You don't have any siblings"

"Then why won't you make one with mom right now?"

My father couldn't answer me. I cursed my myself in my head for letting those words slip into my mouth

"I'm sorry I didn't mean to..." my father cut my words by speaking again

"I know but please understand me too. You are in your right age now, sooner or later, you'll have to take my place"

My conversation with my father ended with me being defeated. I got out of his office and went to my room when I heard soft knocks and my mom entered the door

"I heard that your father already decided"

"Mom, can't you atleast convince dad for me?"

"I already talked to him but you know your father, once he already decided, then it's final"

I just looked down, feeling defeated. I know that there's no words that will convince them to change their minds

"I'm sorry, honey, but I know you can handle this very well"

"I know mom, I just don't want to"

My mother looked at me and just laughed

"Still boastful and stubborn child"

She smiled at me and I just smiled back

Well there's no use in sulking in here, besides, this is not the Lalisa Manoban that I am, being down for something like this

My mother just looked at me amused and left my room knowing very well that I take this challenge on

It's just a new school, I won't die in it and besides I'm confident because I'm no other than the one and only Lalisa Manoban
