Jennie's POV

The whole ride to place takes about 3 hours and I don't even know where we are right now

To my luck, Lisa didn't get to sit beside me because the only space left were at the back

Beside Lisa is with some volunteer chick and they have been having conversations ever since earlier. Lisa was all smile and laugh, very different from the way she is earlier with me. What a jerk

"Stop looking at them, is she your ex or something?" Irene said beside me

"What? No! I only got to spend few hours with her few days ago because of Chaeng and that's it"
"Then why are you looking like that, so irritated?"
"Because the way she acts now is very different from the way she acted earlier. She could've asked nicely you know"

Irene and I continued our chat when suddenly a car stopped in front of us causing the driver to step on the brake that shook all of us

People from the car stepped out and walked closely to our van, opened it looking for someone

To my shock, when the man met my eyes, he suddenly grabbed my arm

"Let me go! What do you want from me?!" I shouted. Ugh what the hell is happening

"Hey, she said let go" Lisa suddenly said behind me, grabbed the man's arm that held me and forced him to let me go

Lisa kicked the man, causing the man to lose balance

There were about 3 people who attempted the same, to grab me but Lisa prevented all of them

"What are you waiting for? Start the van!" Lisa shouted to the driver and out of impulse, the driver obeyed and got us out of there

I looked back and saw the people from earlier rushed to their car and follow us again but they were prevented by another car

I looked at Lisa confused about everything. The instant she felt my gaze, she also looked at me

"This is why I told you to ride with me in my car" Lisa said and got back to her seat

"Care to explain what is happening Ms. Manoban?" the teacher asked Lisa but got no response

"We need to guarantee the safety of the students and because of what happened, we will cancel this program" the teacher continued

None of us said anything, probably still trying to sink in what just happened

"If you want to get back to those thugs, then go ahead" Lisa uttered coldly

"Then what do you suggest we do Ms. Manoban?"
"Just continue as you planned"
"And what if the event earlier will happen again?"

It took Lisa a while to answer back but said "I guarantee you that it won't"
"What weight do your words have?"

Lisa took a deep breath and answered back again "Just let my actions speak louder than my words"

After Lisa said that, the teacher no longer answered back. Probably trusting Lisa on this because of the way she handled what happened earlier

I want to talk to Lisa about what the hell is happening. She seemed to have known that this will happen that's why she offered me to ride with her earlier

What is Lisa keeping from me?

We arrived at the place but no one seems to bother to get out of the van so Lisa got out first

"Are you okay Jen?" I heard Irene's voice of concern beside me

"Yeah no worries" I answered her and smiled
"Good thing that Lisa helped you earlier"
