Both y/n and Jake had been given 3 weeks for leave due to her recent accident and also to rekindle their looming nuptials. They had decided they would again elope to Texas and be remarried and this time actually have a true honeymoon there. But for the time being they were home, and had fallen back asleep after waking earlier that morning. Y/n slowly opened her eyes to the other side of the bed being empty, deciding to stretch and exit the cocoon of warm blankets in search of her not so much ex husband. As she made her way down the stairs she could hear distinctly male voices coming from the kitchen.

She made her way into the room to be met with her husbands shirtless back standing across the counter from Rooster seated on the other side. She held a finger to her lips as Rooster took notice of her and she silently crept across the floor. As she arrived just a few inches away she wrapped her arms around the tan waist in front of her much to the surprise of the owner who let out a small shout of surprise,
"Y/n? Damn woman you scared me. I didn't even know you were there." She stood on her tiptoes to press a kiss to the back of his neck,
"I didn't get assigned the callsign Shadow for nothing love, what're you boys doing?" She made her way in front of him into the cage of his arms as he leaned on the counter.
"Rooster here was kind enough to come check on you and bring Gunner back, he's outside sunbathing as we speak." She smiled at her best friend from across the counter,
"Thanks Roost" he nodded back to her,
"Anything for my best girl. So I can't help but notice a very familiar ring on an equally important finger, you guys have something you want to tell me?" Y/n looked up at Hangman over her shoulder and he gave her a wink back,
"We're getting remarried. Bagman over here finally got his head out of his ass." Jake wrapped his arms around her waist and acted like he was going to bite at her neck and shoulder playfully and she squealed and wriggled in his arms,
"That's Mr. Bagman to you little lady." Rooster smiled at the exchange happening across from him,
"I'm really happy you guys worked things out. You've always been meant to be together, anybody who knows you can see it." The two smiled at each other and pressed their lips together in a quick kiss before separating with y/n going over to the refrigerator to start some lunch.

Bradley stayed for a few hours to visit before heading back to his own home across town, not before agreeing to stay in the Seresin home while they were gone to watch Gunner for them. The evening found y/n and Jake seated on their back porch in the rocking chairs there watching Gunner running back and forth across the yard chasing lightening bugs. Y/n could feel eyes on the side of her face and turned to find Hangman indeed staring at her,
"What?" He smiled at her,
"Just looking at how beautiful my wife is, I don't know how I got so lucky and I hope I never have to find out." She let out a shy giggle before climbing into his rocking chair to straddle his lap, his hands coming to rest on her hips. He allowed his head to rest back against the chair so that he could look into her deep blue eyes that stared into his own,
"I love you Jake Seresin. Your it for me." He leaned forward and sealed their lips in a kiss before responding,
"And I love you y/n Seresin. Your all I've ever wanted, and everything I don't deserve." Y/n again connected their lips in a heated kiss, running her fingers through his hair. It didn't take long after for him to stand from his chair and make his way back inside again with her still wrapped in his arms, making his way up the stairs to their again shared bedroom.
