BRIGHT LIGHT FLOODS ASTRID'S VISION AS HER EYES FLUTTER OPEN. She winces, eyes not used to the sudden light. A quiet groan slips her lips as her vision adapts to the new environment around her. Confusion takes over her tired and sore body. Where was she? What had happened? Where was Anakin?

Her droopy green eyes fall to her right where she sees blood samples and saliva swatches. A small counter sat against the wall with different papers and folders. Everything around her was plain. But it gave her a sense of where she was—a place she dreaded going to. The hospital.

A sudden wave of realization slams into Astrid. Her eyes widened as her brain was hit with the overwhelming new information she'd just been forced to remember. She was poisoned. How was she even alive?

"Miss Astrid Pagonia," a doctor enters the otherwise empty room. Anakin was nowhere to be seen—he probably was briefing the Council about a mission, right? The doctor smiles pitifully at her and Astrid feels her heart drop. Something was wrong.
