CHAPTER 7

Kyla's PoV

"Let's ride a taxi." I suggested. I raised my hand at the air to signal the taxi to come near us.

"Bakit pa? May kotse naman ako." Sambit niya. Nakalapit ang taxi sa amin kaya agad kong binuksan ang pinto nito at tinulak si Aaron papasok.

"To Foreman University, please." Sambit ko sa taxi driver. Tumango naman ito at nagsimulang magdrive. I saw from my peripheral vision that Aaron was going to say something. "We'll get my car there." I said even if he wasn't asking.

"Why so?" I smiled at him and said,

"I just feel like serving you today.. wala naman siguro tayong gagawin sa office today, so, I thought that let's take this day as our date." He was just looking at me like he was expecting me to say something. "A-as h-husband and w-wife."

There! He fucking smiled!

Parang may humaplos sa puso ko nang ngumiti siya ng gano'n. Pasimple rin akong napangiti dahil hindi ko maitanggi na napaka-gwapo niya sa ngiting iyon.

"Magkano po bayad?" Tanong ko sa driver nang makarating kami sa school.

"150 pesos, ineng." Sambit nito, i-aabot ko na sana ang bayad nang biglang hampasin ni Aaron ang kamay ko at siya ang nagbayad. I smiled at him and went out of the car.

Tinungo ko ang parking lot at hinanap kung nasa'n ang kotse na ipinahiram sa akin ni Matthew.

"I'll drive." Sambit ko. Pumunta ako sa passenger seat at binuksan ang pinto niyon. Tinitigan lang ako ni Aaron kaya sinensyasan ko siya na sumakay na.

Sinara ko ang pinto at umikot papunta sa driver's seat. "Seat belts on, please." I said as I put on mine.

"You do weird things. I should be the one who's driving because I'm the guy." He said. I scoffed and looked at him.

"Yeah, no. I don't support gender-job-shit. Anyway, where do you want to go? Where's your favorite place?" Tanong ko. He just looked outside and shrugged.

"I don't usually go somewhere. Anything is fine. You decide." Sambit niya. "Oh, wait. We should go to the mall.. I need new pair of suits. You need uniforms too. And.. we need to buy groceries." I nodded and started driving.

"How old are you..? I've never knew your age." Panimula ko. I was driving but still giving him a glance.

"Twenty-three." My lips turned into an 'o' and nodded.

Silence swallowed the whole car. I was busy driving while he was looking outside the window. I turned on the radio and 'Everything Has Changed' by Taylor Swift featuring Ed Sheeran played.

"H-hey..." I said and he looked at me. "Listen to the song.. understand it.. and that's what I'm thinking right now." I felt my cheeks burning after I said those.
