Chapter 5: First Of Many

A new morning arrives and a familiar pinkette slowly sits herself up in bed. As she groggily looks around, she notices that her room is different.

Taking a second for her brain to realise, she soon remembers that this isn't her room at all. She looks to the floor and the sight of Edward confirms her thoughts.

Mine: I slept in his room! What was I thinking?!

She places her palm against her head and looks to Edward once more before sighing.

Mine: No one is to ever know this happened.

Trying to get out of the room quickly, she dresses in a hurry and quickly opens the door before bumping straight into Leone.

Leone looks at Mine surprised, "Oh, well look what we have here~ I didn't think this would ever happen."

Mine quickly shoots her a glare that could kill a Danger Beast, "Nothing happened. I just needed a place to sleep and he offered. End. Of. Story."

Not buying it, Leone gives Mine a smug look before taking a peek inside Edward's room. She sees Edward sleeping on the floor.

Leone: Doesn't look like they did anything.... I'll have to keep a closer eye on those two.

Leone steps aside and let's Mine pass. Mine quickly rushes back to her busted room while Leone just stands in the same spot laughing to herself. She was definitely going to tell somebody what happened.

When Edward wakes up later he sits and immediately looks to his bed. When he's sees Mine has already left, he sits up and cleans up his room. Turns out Mine is a messy sleeper.

As he cleans, he thinks to himself, "Reminder to buy a futon or something so I don't have to sleep on the floor next time."

Once he finished, he wrote in his journal for a moment and then decided to go outside and train.

His workout was nothing special just target practice, combat practice, durability training under a waterfall, handstand push-ups, ect.

Training took up most of the day and next thing Edward knew it was dark which means he missed training with Sheele and Tatsumi.

But Edward didn't think much of it and decided to make up training with Sheele tomorrow. He finished up the last bit of excerise he wanted to do and headed back to his room to change.

It wasn't until he had finished training that he had forgotten to head into the city. Quickly grabbing a coat, he left.

The city wasn't any more special at night, in fact, it was worse. Edward decided he didn't want to stay there any longer than he had to so he quickly found a store, bought what he needed, and went to leave.

As he was heading down the road he accidentally bumped into someone. Neither fell but instead looked at eachother.

Edward noticed that the person was a she with blue hair and a tattoo on her chest. She looked at him as if expecting something before Edward realised that he needed to apologize.

Edward: Ah, I'm sorry. I was in a hurry to get home and wasn't paying attention as to where I was going.

He scratched the back of his head as he chuckled awkwardly. She still didn't respond and now looked at him with curiosity.

???: You don't know who I am, do you?

Edward awkwardly responds, "No, can't say I do. But that's to be expected since I'm new to the city. I only just arrived a few weeks ago.

He extends his hand to the woman, "Hi, I'm Edward Thorn. Nice to meet you."

Looking at his hand for a moment before returning the gesture, she responds, "Esdeath. Likewise."
