CHAPTER 16

{JESSICA'S PICTURE ABOVE}

ITOHAN'S POV

At Itohan's house...

"What's your deal with Efosa? Vera asked out of the blue while painting her nails.

Vera and Jessica are having a sleepover at my house, we were peacefully doing our own different thing until Vera had to spoil it with her question.

"Who's Efosa?" Jessica asked innocently

Thanks to Vera innocent Jessica is now inquisitive.

Jessica happens to be my other best friend beside Vera. We became friends at Jss2; she was a new kid back then shy, quiet, and reserved no one wanted to befriend her so I took it upon myself and approached her, and ever since then we've been close friends.

At first, Vera didn't like her but learned to like her with my help. Till now, we three have been inseparable.

"Don't you know Efosa? He's like the most brilliant and cutest guy in our class" Vera chipped in.

" See who's talking, I thought you said he's a jerk" I asked her

" Well he is, but I still have to appreciate God's creature for once" She admitted

" How come I haven't heard of him?" Jessica asked

" Because he's a science student and you're an art student, now would you guys quit talking about him!" I yelled at the top of my lungs

" Hmmm... Looks like someone has a crush isn't it?" Vera pressed on

I turned mute.

This girl is going to be the end of me.

"Itohan just prove her wrong and say no" Jessica implied

"Yes prove me wrong, I want to know" Vera persuaded

"Why do you even want to know?" I asked

Seriously speaking, what's her deal?

"Let's just say I like him and just want to know if you're not interested in him" Vera said with a grin

Hearing this from her, I instantly felt a sharp sting on my stomach but didn't know why...

Strange

I didn't want to implicate myself by keeping silent, so I replied her

"No, I don't like him"

"Nice, that means I can hit on him now" Vera said excitedly

"Vera!!!" Jessica scolded

"What?" Vera asked cluelessly

"Jessica do you blame her, she's a teenager with hormones" I defended her

"Thanks, Itohan" Vera said while giving me a tight hug

"I hope you know what you're doing?" my inner thought voiced out.

I hope so.

EFOSA'S POV

"It's all your fault!" Edosa accused me as we descended the flight of stairs from Dad's office.

"My fault? Tell me how it's my fault, if you didn't say those nasty comments about Esosa I think we won't have to pass through this" I fired back

He thinks he's the only one who can yell, well two can play that game.

"Why do you have to be a pain in the neck at times!" He yelled

"And why do you have to be a jerk!!!" I retorted back at him

"Look I don't know what's your problem, but ever since you came back from school you have been a complete jerk. Do you think I love having you as my older brother? No, I don't. Unlike you, Esosa is more of an older sibling to me than you are, not because she's the oldest but because she's nicer and gets me more than you"

"Truth be told, I'm ashamed to call you my older brother" I said to him before walking away from him.

I saw a flash of hurt in his eyes, but it quickly disappeared the same way it appeared or maybe I just imagined it.

"Look at me..." he grabbed me by my arm and jerked my body towards the wall.

"...I'm not your age mate you can just talk to and walk away with it" he said tightening his grip on my arm

"Leave me alone!" I said struggling to loosen his grip on my arm

"I'm not done with you yet!!!" he yelled back

"I said leave me alone!!!" I said punching him on his nose. I think I heard a bone crack.

He tried punching me back but I dodged it, I tried tackling him but got a punch on my stomach.

I think I broke a rib. Ouch!

I fell to the ground while he climbed on top of me throwing several blows at my face just before we got separated from each other.

"Stop this nonsense, both of you. Edosa do you want to kill your brother?" Uncle Osas scolded.

"I'm going to my room" Edosa said before walking away without a word.

A/N: *Tears* Who felt for Efosa? Cause I did. Edosa is such a jerk don't you think?
