*Dream's POV*
I slammed my locker shut, gripping my helmet with white knuckles.
"Yeah, and then he started crying," Theo said, chatting up a few freshmen and sophomores. The surrounding group chuckled.
I stared daggers at Theo, although he didn't notice. My eyes glanced over Sapnap, his eyes down, saddened - guilty even. I raised my eyebrows at him.
He shrugged and stood next to me, putting on his pads. "What?" he asked.
"You look..." I paused, considering my words, "sad?" I tried out.
Sapnap hesitated then replied, "Theo's gloating always bothers me."
"Mm," I responded in agreement. We tuned back into the conversation beside us.
"That's why I'm making him pay. He broke my phone! The fag broke my goddamn phone!"
My ears perked up hearing that. Theo's making George pay for his phone? I had no idea. George neglected to mention that huge part. Will George be able to pay for that? I hope he's not scared of Theo's threats. There's no way he would make him pay for that... right?
Velin whispered something to the group, and they all laughed. Theo playfully elbowed him, smiling.
When the laughter, died down, Sapnap raised his voice. "Didn't you fall on your phone?" Every head turned to him.
"What the fuck did you just say you little shit?"
Sapnap gulped, but stood his ground as Theo approached.
"Hey!" He towered over Sapnap. "I asked you a question."
"You fell on your phone. George didn't break it,"Sapnap whispered.
Okay... two things – 1. Was I hearing this right? Sapnap defending George?? and 2. Theo was going to make George pay for a $1000 plus phone that he wasn't responsible for?? He wasn't actually serious right? I questioned it before but now I don't think he's joking.
"Say it one more time loudly. I fucking dare you!"He pushed Sapnap back.
I stepped between them. "That's enough, Theo."My eyes hardened.
He took a half step back. "You defending Sapnap?" He stressed his name like he couldn't possibly believe it.
"Back. Off." I said it through gritted teeth.
Theo smirked, then walked out of the locker room door and onto the field, his posse following.
"Dream-" Sapnap started.
"I don't need to hear it, Sap." I smiled and in return, he gave me a small, "thank you" smile as a substitute.

The high-pitched whistle pierce my ears as my head hit the turf. Theo landed on top of me wearing the same smirk he had on before he walked onto the field.
He slammed my head down on the turf again when I tried to get up. "That's why you were demoted to co-captain. You're losing your touch." Theo snickered. "Just telling you what you need to hear, bud." He patted me on the back after I got up.
Bud... yeah, no, fuck that.
I ran full speed towards him and tackled him from behind. We fell together, and I turned him over to see a bloody nose through his helmet.
