One

Rits- Sammy, come here baba! Mumma needs help.

Sammy- Yes mumma!

Rits- Baby, Go check if Dada is ready or not. Call him for breakfast.

Sammy went to Rohit's room and saw him sleeping.

Sammy- Offo ! When will Dada learn ? Mumma is gonna be so angry!

Ritika- Sammy did Dada get up?

Sammy- Yes Mumma, 5 mins! He is in bathroom.

Sammy took the glass of water and emptied on Rohit's face as she didn't have time.

Ro- Vi!!
He got up with a jerk and looked around to see his cute daughter standing with hands on her hips.

Sammy- Dada get up, u have 4 mins. Mumma is calling you! If u don't come in 3.9 mins Mumma is gonna come up and then u know ..

Rohit was looking at his daughter whose antics just reminded him of his Vi, his idiot bestie.

Sammy- Ughhh! Dada, now is the time to get up.
She said clicking her small fingers infront of his face.

Ro- Did u just splash water on me Baba?

Sammy- Dada, now is not the time to think that.

Ritika- Ro, Sammy !!

Rohit listened to that and ran to the bathroom.

Sammy came down and sat on the table. And as expected Ro came down when it was 0.1 sec remaining.

Ro hi-fied Sammy and kissed her cheek.

Ro- Good job partner!

Sammy- Dada my partner is only Vi chachu, so baba for u!

Ro- Okay baba!
He said to her stubborn child who was exact copy of his best friend.

Rits- Ro u have a call regarding the selection for the upcoming series in an hour. U ready Na?

Ro- Ya don't worry!

Rits- We are gonna leave before that. Rest of ur schedule is sent to you! Meet us at dinner directly.

Ro- Okay, take care u both.
He said and they had their breakfast having a nice time.

Member 1- Is it required for him to be in the squad? We have managed without him too.

Ro- As u said Sir, we have managed. We don't want to be at that the stage where we have to manage positions!

Member 2- Are u sure that he is fit and ready?

Ro- Sir, u should really think once before saying that. U know he is the fittest player of our team. Youngsters are not able to match him yet.

Member 3- Why are u so keen to add him back?

Ro- We need experienced player in the squad specially in terms of batting. And also he has been captained the team for so long that will be a added plus.

All members- Okay then!

Rohit took a sigh of relief hearing that. He ended the meeting and in one hour he reached the team hotel.
Team squad was announced and whole team was waiting for him.

Rah- Is he really, like really back in the team?
He asked Rohit who was engrossed in his phone.

Ro- Yes, he is back!
He said getting back to his phone.

Jassi- But where he was all this time? Rohit bhai you would know Na!

Rohit didn't say anything and concentrated on his texting.

Harry- Now we were already managing right?
He said with a hurt tone.

Ash- He was just on a break, so technically he can be back.

Bhuvi- But why did he need that break ?
He asked the question which was on everyone's mind.

Jassi- That ..
He was gonna say something when Virat arrived in the team room.

Everyone stopped their conversation and looked at him as they were seeing him after long time. He seemed so different.

Virat just went and sat on one of the bean bag which was near Rohit. That was only place which was empty.

Ro- So everyone is here!
He said breaking everyone's trance.

Ro- We would be leaving today night for WI. Before that I just wanted the team to know that this is a very important tour.
Everyone get ready and gather at 11 pm.

Ro- Any questions?

No one asked anything even though they had millions of questions to ask.

Ro- Good! And Virat, welcome back!
He said on the behalf of whole team.

Virat looked up at everyone and nodded acknowledging it. He could see how their eyes had uncertainty about him being there.

That look in their eyes made him doubt every decision of his.

Everyone left the team room. Virat was still seating on his place looking around him.

After sometime Virat left from there to his house. He entered his empty house which just resembled his life.

He went to his room and got into his warm bed feeling tired. He dozed off because that was only thing he did to shut everything off apart from some other things.

Rohit was driving back. He called number to get the update.

Ro- Hi, Did u get any information? We are gonna leave today night.

Person- I have gathered half of it. I will try as soon as possible.

Ro- Where were u ? I was texting you and u were not replying.

Person- Sir I was in call with my team for the info so missed ur texts.

Ro- Try to get it fast. U know it's been so much months without a clue!
He said helplessly.

Person- I know Sir. Will do it asap, I am not gonna disappoint you.

Ro- You can never disappoint me. The other thing is arranged which I told you?

Person- Yes sir! Done that.

Ro- Good, thank you!

Person- Sir, I think we are way past formalities u know.

Ro- Ya I know! Bye, see u soon.

Person- Take care sir, don't worry too much.

Rohit reached the place which he was visiting since the time Virat had disappeared.
