Hikari looked at her brother and Takumi and then back at the member of Central. The orange haired boy glared at Soma and Takumi with a smirk on his face.

"Hold on a second." He said to Soma, "You're the Heaven's Senses older brother. The first year who defeated Eizan. And if I'm not mistaken, you were also in the Fall Selection. You'd do well not to take that nasty attitude here with me, the elite who will be leading the next generation."

"If I am not mistaken, I told you that you would will no longer be a part of the Central troops." Hikari said, her dead eyes glaring at the orange haired chef.

"Ah, yes, you do have some hold on us chefs, Heaven's Senses, but you know as well as I do that only the headmaster can take this privilege from me." He said, holding up a badge with a strange design on it. He then turned to Soma and Takumi.

"It would be in your best interest not to oppose us."

"I'm getting the sense of identity from you, and I have to say that Hikari is right about what she said." Takumi said, "You keep boasting about how you've been chosen and all that, it makes you sound like you're hiding an inferiority complex or something. If you have to build yourself up by constantly saying that you're an elite chef, doesn't that mean that you don't have much confidence in your cooking skills?"

Soma chuckled, "Yeah, you and my sister are right on the money, Takumi. What do you say to that, huh, chef?"

The boy looked as if he was about to explode from being humiliated, not just by the Heaven's Senses, but also by a couple of first years students.

"You're asking for it!" He screamed, "I'm gonna crush you right here and now!" But before he could do anything, Hikari grabbed him by the back of his collar and pulled him away from the two, bringing him over to one of his fellow elites,a tall young man wearing green with short cut black hair.

"Would you mind taking him away to cool down, Shige?" She asked.

"Of course." Shige responded and took the boy from Hikari, "Don't make a fool of yourself. It's sad."

"Shige! Put me down!" The boy shouted as he was dragged away, shouting threats to Soma and Takumi.

Soma, not wasting anymore time, ran over to his sister and hugged her tightly. But as soon as he touched her, Hikari wiggled away from his grasp, shaking as if she was freezing or terrified.

"Hikari? What's wrong?" Soma said, looking up to see the fear in her eyes, before they turned back into emotionless.

"Pleases refrain from touching me, Yukihira." She said in her dead tone, "If you'll excuse me, I have another Food War to judge. Please go back to your seats until the matches for today are over."

Soma could only stand there in shock by her dead tone as she walked back to the judges table to take her seat.

"What happened to her, Soma?" Takumi asked.

"The headmaster, that's what." Soma growled, "She's pale and she can't stand touch. Hikari hasn't been sleeping properly, from the dark circles under her eyes and from the touch of her skin, she's freezing. Azami hasn't been taking proper care of her."

"I know, my uncle is starting get crazier by the day." A voice said behind them. The two turned around and saw Alice and Ryo, both in their cooking uniforms.

"Alice, and Ryo?" Soma said surprised to see them there, "Why are you two here?"

"Did you join a research society?" Takumi asked.

"It was quite surprising, actually." Alice smiled, "When I was still in the middle school division, I did a Food War against the cutting edge culinary research society. I won of course, so I ended up taking their club room and all of their equipment. Then recently, I got a notice saying that I'd become their new club's chief. An obvious choice, or course."

"That seems kinda cold." Takumi said.

"Oh, so that's why they came after you. For this hunting thing." Soma added.

"That's right. So be free to call me Chief Alice, boys."

Soma smiled playfully, "So if that's the case, why don't you just disband the group and avoid the fight?"

Alice sighed, "Yeah, well, here's the thing about that. That orange haired guy came and said that I could challenge him to a Food War, and I told him that I didn't really care. But then Ryo got insulted when he called him a pansy chef, and the rest you can clearly see by us being here. And so now, it's Ryo's turn to show off his cooking."

She turned to Ryo, "Go ahead, Ryo. Show this elf-style wannabes got themselves into."

"Kay, gotcha." Ryo said, taking his headband and stepping up to his place on the stage, Rentaro standing with a sly smirk on his face just across form him.

"The Desperate of the kitchen, Ryo Kurokiba, vs. the rookie from Central, Rentaro Kusonoki." Hikari announced, "This Food War will judged on taste and presentation. In order to be declared victorious in this battle, you must have the highest total ranking declared by me, the Heaven's Senses. Failure to do so will mean loss. I wish you luck in your cooking. Ready.... BEGIN!"

Immediately, Rentaro and Ryo started cooking as the next Food War had begun.

I'm sorry that this was so short! But today has been exhausting. I promise a new longer chapter next week!"
