Asy blinked before frowning a bit and glancing at CQ in concern before he then carefully removed the brown paper, well, as carefully as he could anyways begore reading the contents of it.
The folder was filled with things like CQ's school certificate, other papers, a letter from the orphanage, in which was pretty much written that CQ was now an adult and that the orphanage wouldn't continue to take care if her and stuff, it looked like it was a letter for anyone, as it wasn't even her name mentioned or anything. At the end of the folder was a birth certificate.
Asy then moved, setting down the papers on top of a drawer and glancing at CQ again, who was still being comforted and hugged by the children, but Error was now looking at him expectantly.
Asy then glanced back down at the paper and carefully looked at the birth certificate, making sure to check it was legit first before actually looking at it. Can't have another fake certificate again.
The certificate had a few information written on it, not many, though. It started with the name. 'Cordelia Queen'. This was... certainly new. The day of birth was only estimated, as there was written 'around the 17.01.199X'. Her sex was female, but this was pretty much clear. By the part, where her birth parents would've been written, was just a big, fat 'UNKNOWN'.
Asy blinked in confusion, scanning for anymore information but couldn't find any. So he was right with CQ's age at least but... She was actually named Cordelia? Well, it made sense in all honesty, but still. This was quite a shocker.
"CQ? Hun?" Asy spoke up as he then turned to CQ and walked towards her. "You might want to at least take a look at this." Asy said softly, handing CQ the birth certificate before putting the rest of the paper back into the folder.
CQ stared at Asy, before mumbling to herself and slowly taking the certificate, looking at it. She then blinked. "Huh. I have a name." She said then, making Geno look confused. "Mama, you always had a name!" He said and tilted his head.
"Did you also have a fake certificate?" Error asked in confusion and Asy blinked, opening his mouth to say something, but closed it since he doesn't know what to actually say.
CQ looked at Error, before slowly shacking her head. "No, not really." She then answered. "I never had a birth certificate... Not that I really cared to get mine." The woman said, staring at the paper.
"Oh... So is... Crayon Queen not your... Real name?" Error felt betrayed. "No Error... It's Cordelia Queen." Asy said softly and Error blinked. "So... Mama's still a Queen?" "Yes Error, she's still a Queen. She can still be Crayon Queen too." Asy said softly and Error slowly nodded.
"Cordelia..." CQ mumbled. "Wonder who named me that." The woman then said and tilted her head. "Guess I will never find out." She shrugged.
"Probably... How are you feeling after this?" Asy kneeled down, carefully placing a hand on CQ's shoulder in concern.
CQ blinked and looked up at Asy. "I... I honestly don't know..." She answered. "It's so... weird, y'know? I didn't know my real name for years and I knew that it wasn't my real name- But now I know it and it's kinda weird."
"I figured..." Asy hummed softly while Error blinked. "It's okay mama, I'm not used to my name being Eos either..." Error sheepishly said.
The woman looked at Error and nodded slightly, rubbing his head. CQ looked at the paper again, before she suddenly started to smile. "Hey, Asy? Remember when I was still a child and came to you, because I finally had an idea for my name?"
"Well yeah, one of my best days honestly." Asy couldn't help but chuckle a bit while Error glanced at Geno, and slowly lets go of CQ.
"How so?" CQ asked and raised an eyebrow. A small smile was on her face at the memory. Geno let go of CQ too, scooting to Error.
"Well, you came to me on your own, why wouldn't I be giddy?" Asy snickered softly. "Trust with you is sort of a fickle thing back then, you know?" Asy smiled softly.
CQ huffed. "I wasn't that bad with trust!" She said in an offended tone, even if she really wasn't offended at all, as she knew that Asy was right.
"Uhuh, suuure." Asy chuckled softly and ruffled CQ's hair. "Well, At least now I know your actual name, Cordelia Queen." Asy spoke in a teasing tone.
CQ looked at Asy and huffed. Then she said: "At least it's Cordelia and not something like Christina. Yuck." She mumbled out.
"Well, Cordelia is a nice name." Asy chuckled softly. "Yayuh!" Error gasped lightly. "Mama has a prebby name!" Error chirped happily. 'Mama has a prebby name huh?' Error couldn't help but beam proudly at that.
"I agree. It's a very pretty name" Nightmare chuckled. CQ just blushed lightly in embarrassment. "Well- I" She mumbled, hiding her face. "You... think so?"
"I know so." Asy then ruffled CQ's hair a bit as well. "But like with Eos, we don't need to start calling you Cordelia, we can just keep continuing with CQ." Asy smiled gently at the pink haired woman.
CQ looked up at Asy and nodded slowly. "Alright..." She answered, rubbing her cheek. The woman moved a bit, to lean her head against Asy's chest, cuddling him lightly.
Asy blinked before smiling lightly and then holding CQ close. "We should do our last sweep of the house before we go." Asy said softly and Error nodded. "C'mon Geno! Let's see if there's anything that's left behind!" Error chirped, quickly rushing out of the room.
Geno gasped and nodded. "Okay!" He cheered, running after Error. The child seemed quite excited. CQ blinked and looked up at Asy.
Asy then glanced up at CQ before suddenly moving and picking her up, like a parent does to a child. "You weren't letting go so." Asy snickered softly.
The woman squeaked quietly in shock at that, before wiggling slightly. "Asyyy-" She groaned. "I'm sorry, but let me down-"
"My cute child." Asy snickered, but did sets CQ down anyways. "Now c'mon." Asy smiled, carefully holding the folder with the other information inside.
The woman sighed and nodded, stretching herself, before going out of the room. She looked around to find her children and just followed Geno's excited giggling.
