We walked out of the Met to find the place surrounded by paparazzi again, as I stepped out into the night I was nearly blinded by camera flashes and the reporters began shouting questions like 'Is your marriage really over?' and 'Are you and Liam together?' the last one made me laugh.

I started making my way down the stairs with Trent at my side followed by Liam and my family. We didn't stop at the line of cameras and reporters this time we just headed to the car at the end of the red carpet laid out for guests to walk down, I waited for Trent to get into the car before me as the cameras still flashed in my direction.

Once Trent got in the car, Liam and I quickly followed getting comfortable in the back as the car pulled away heading towards Liam's apartment.

"Thank you for a good night, Bella." Liam said as we pulled up his apartment building.

I grinned, "Anytime. It was great seeing you again."

"You too. I'll see you soon." Liam responded giving me a side hug as he got out the car.

I looked over at Trent to see he'd fallen asleep; poor little guy must be exhausted. I moved over to Liam's vacated seat to get more room. I watched as New York passed by the window, this was my home but right now it felt like my worst nightmare.

The car arrived at our house just as the sun was going down, I got out the car and went around the other side to get Trent, I picked him up and took him upstairs to his room changing him into his pj's and tucking him into his bed.

My room was cool from the air conditioning having been on all day; I changed into a pair of pajamas short and top. I slipped into my huge empty bed. Ever since Charles left my bed had felt big and lonely, he used to hold me in his arms while I slept. I woke up to his sweet innocent face but now I woke up to empty space where he used to lay.

I looked over at the clock to see it was nearly midnight I had to get up at six tomorrow to get Trent ready for school and get to work on time. My door opened slightly allowing Trent to slip through closing the door and tip-toeing up to my bed before climbing in and snuggling into my side. I hugged him to my side and fell asleep with my little boy wrapped in my arms.

The sunlight streaming across my face woke me up; I looked over to Trent still snoring lightly. The clock above Trent's head read five to six; I turned the alarm off and got up heading to the bathroom for a shower.

I stood under the shower head as the water poured down on me washing away my worries and stress. I thought about my encounter with the reporter last night, 'what was that all about?' it was really strange.

Getting out of the shower I dried myself with a big fluffy towel then wrapping myself in my robe. I walked out into my bedroom to see Trent spread out across my bed still in dreamland, the clock read half six, time to wake him up. I wandered over to my bed and shook Trent awake while whispering in his ear for him to wake up.

"No, mummy. I don't want to get up." He mumbled and rolled over snuggling into the pillows.

I took a hold of his arm turning him over and pulling the covers off him laughing at his disgruntled expression, "C'mon, sweetie. You need to go to school, its Friday you can sleep in tomorrow."

"Fine," he pouted getting up and heading to his room to shower and change.

My closet used to be full but now one side sat empty of my husband's stuff. I averted my eyes from his side like I did every morning and continued picking up a navy blue t-shirt dress that comes to mid-thigh and suit jacket. I brought them out of my closet and laid them out on my bed.

I walked over to my dresser to get underwear I put on lacy black panties and matching bra before putting my robe back on. Sitting at my dressing table I began to dry my hair and straightened it. Once my hair was done I moisturised and got dressed.

The sun illuminated coming through the wall made of glass facing out into the back yard. I turned on the coffee maker on my way to the fridge getting out a bagel, cream cheese and fresh orange along with milk for Trent's cereal.

Trent wandered into the kitchen rubbing the sleep from his eyes, his hair was still wet dripping onto his face. He hopped up on the stool at the breakfast bar while I got his bowl, spoon and cereal.

"Mummy, Do I need to go with daddy after school?" Trent asked while pouring the milk into his cereal.

I poured my coffee and stood across from him eating my bagel, "Yes, sweetie. Your daddy wants to spend time with you." I explained.

"All he ever does is work," Trent admitted.

I grimaced at this, "I'll talk to him."

"Thanks," he finished.

With that the conversation ended as we each had our breakfast and got ready to leave.

Once ready we got in the car and headed to Trent's school. I parked the car and got out walking with him to the school gates with him where he seen his friends and ran off with a bye mum.

"Have a good day at school," I shouted after him laughing at his eagerness to see his friends.

I turned and made my way back to my car but I was stopped by Jake, "Hey, Bella. We didn't get a chance to speak last night."

"Hi, yeah sorry it was kind of a crazy night for me," I admitted smiling at him.

He laughed, "You can say that again."

"How are you?" I asked.

He walked up to stand in front of me, "Good. Did you have a good night, Liam did?"

"Apart from all the drama it was good and I'm glad Liam had fun," I replied.

He turned serious, "What's going on with you and my brother?"

"Nothing were just friends I swear," I told him.

He smiled before he said, "Good, you don't need anymore drama in your life at the moment."

"Speaking of drama, I need to go pay Charles a visit. Goodbye, it was nice seeing you." I voiced, while heading towards my car.

"Bye and good luck." He yelled just as I reached my car.

I got in and put the car into drive knowing I was heading into the dragon's layer.
