Part 29 - Deserve

I keep my eyes on his tattoos.

Half of my body is is on top of his.

I swear he never had tattoos before.

I trail my fingers against every one and love filled silence surrounds us.

"When did you get these?" I whisper to him.

He takes a moment to answer.

"When everything fell apart" he whispers.

He moves one hand from behind his head, to stroke my hair.

I don't smile, I just keep my eyes on his tattoos.

I notice one that's on his chest. It's writes 'when everything fell apart'

My heart gets a slight shock.

"Don't be startled" he grabs my finger in his hand, and drags it to the bottom of his stomach.

"Look" he whispers to me.

I notice a small tattoo.

It's my wedding ring.

It's small and delicate. Not too much next to my engagement ring.

Below it, it writes a date '07-12-21'

"That's when I met you" my head shoots up at Alec in surprise.

He smiles at me, nodding his head.

"I knew from the day I met you, you'd be the one I'd never stop loving" I whispers, continuing to stroke my hair.

Confusion fills me.

My head looks back down at the tattoo.

"I was a terrible person though"

He stops stroking my hair.

I look back over at him and he seems distraught by my words.

"Even through your imperfects I could always see your perfects, Honor."

I keep my eyes on him, my lips tight and my heart sealed.

God I love this man.

I smile at his words.

He kisses the top of my head. Still keeping his hands on my hair.

"I'll go make some coffee" he says.

I nod I desperate agreement.

He gently pulls away from me, stepping out of the bed.

I laugh at him for a moment.

"Don't even start. This was inside you a few minutes ago" he says whilst smirking.

He walks towards the kitchen.
