It was a normal day in the black bulls' hideout with many of its members sitting in the dining hall , eating while some conversed with each other. Asta was seen stuffing his face before perking his head upwards.

Asta: Hey, what do Magic Knights do..?

Magna froze, glaring at Asta, who gulped.

Magna: Really..? You're seriously asking that? We protect the country, guard VIPs and all sorts! How did you join if you didn't know anything?

Magna was seen shaking Asta who apologised. (Y/N) let a yawn escape his mouth, greeting everyone with a simple wave before taking a seat next to Noelle. (Y/N) rubbed his stomach, which grumbled seconds later. Someone slid a tray of food towards him and (Y/N) couldn't help but let his tongue slip out of his mouth, panting as if he was a dog. (Y/N) began to stuff his mouth with food while Magna continued shaking Asta. Vanessa, Luck, Charmy and another member by the name of Gauche gave their reasons for joining the magic knights but (Y/N) was too focused on eating. (Y/N) stopped mid way through eating after seeing a member transform into Asta,  which left him in awe. It turned to be Gray, who used a form of transformation magic however.

Magna: Oh yeah! I just remembered! The three new recruits have a job!

(Y/N) finished his food, being handed a cup by Noelle to wash it down. After doing so, (Y/N) and Asta alongside Noelle stood in front of Magna, ready to receive their first mission. (Y/N) and Asta couldn't help but crack a smile. They had wanted to go on a mission for as long as they could remember.

Magna: Me, Asta and Noelle'll be hunting boars! (Y/N), you have to wait for Master Yami to get out of the bathroom, because he has your mission...

Asta: Wait what?!! Me and (Y/N) are not doing our first mission together?

(Y/N) and Asta were confused by this. They'd done everything together since they was kids and this was the first time in their lives that they were being separated. The worst of all is that Asta is the only person who can really understand (Y/N).  Yami exited the toilet and approached Asta, Magna, Noelle, (Y/N), Vanessa, Gauche, Charmy, Luck and Gray.

Yami: I lost a bet with some guy and the loser had to do something for the winner.

Asta: Then why are we going?

Noelle: He's right!

Yami glared at them, with the pair losing the ability to breath with the amount of mana being exerted from Yami's gaze. As soon as he released it, they began to pant as if they'd ran around the hideout ten times.

Yami: SO ARE YOU GOING TO GO OR ARE YOU GOING TO DIE ?

Asta/Noelle: We're on our way!

Asta: Regardless, it's my first mission and i'm pumped!

Asta approached (Y/N), who was sitting with the others, getting up from his seat to see Asta off.

Asta: I guess we'd finish the mission in no time flat if we went together, eh pal.

(Y/N) nodded rapidly in agreement with a smile on his face.

Asta: Good luck on your mission (Y/N) !

The two clasped hands while glaring at each other with grins on their face. Asta and Noelle got on top of Crazy Cyclone, Magna's customised broom. (Y/N) watched them set off to hunt boars. (Y/N) turned around to see Yami look down at him.

Yami: Ok, (Y/N). Asta would be useful but i feel like you'll be more useful for this mission. A bunch of bandits have taken over a village and have held the villagers captive. I need you and Finral to go over there and take care of it, you get me?
