"Samuel I can't keep doing this... I've been in the hospital four times this year since I met you...I can't live here. Now we got a kid with us! This is not safe, we need to start over...please."
"Alright alright where you wanna go we can go up in the hills far away from everyone and have a fresh start. Just say the word" Samuel pressed his forehead against mine with teary eyes
I nod my head, shutting my eyes and hugging him tightly.
"I'll do anything for you mama...anything"

2 𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐤𝐬 𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫
I sigh heavily picking up a sleepy treasure and placing her on my hip.
Me, samuel, Treasure and the gang are currently on the airport waiting to board our flight.
"Flight to Boston Massachusetts Now boarding, I repeat Flight to Boston Massachusetts Now boarding" The lady'e voice echos throughout the airport through the speakers
My mother hugs me tightly whispering into my ear "I dunno wah yuh see in dis man but yuh big an yuh ha sense... just be careful please Rose"
I chuckle bitterly as tears roll down my cheek, walking over to my younger sister and engulfing her in a hug "Make sure you call me everyday...I'll miss you"
She nods wiping her face and turning away.
I look back at my friends, no not friends. My family.
I look back at my family smiling as we all walk down the isle filled with people, boarding our flight
To a new beginning.
It's as if everything is moving in slow motion
I feel stuck; scared to move even
Until I feel Samuel hold onto my hand.
"Miss Nai, are you scared" I hear treasure mumble rubbing her eyes
And for the first time in a long time....I truthfully say "Yes"
"Oh....don't be. Me and daddy are here to protect you" she smiles a toothy grin even thought she is indeed missing her two front teeth.
I feel my heart warm and gain the strength to leave my past behind me
My restaurant, my home, my mother
I feel brave enough to start over.
And be happy.
I sit next with Treasure next to me and her father on the other side of her.
We interlock hands, sending each other a warm smile as we feel the plane slowly life into the air.
I look out the window letting out a shakey breath with a smile as the plane passes through the clouds.
Wow.
I shut my eyes slowly falling asleep. Waiting our arrival.
