THE TEENS WERE LINED UP IN TWO separate lines, facing each other. The Cobra Kai senseis had handed out red and black bandanas, and instructed the students to wear them. Milena and Andrew were given black ones, while Kim, Hunter, and Kai were given red ones. Milena was very confused, but it was clear they were playing some sort of team versus team game.

"Gentlemen, ladies," Mr. Kreese began to speak, "welcome to Coyote Creek. You've been split into two teams. Red... and black. The goal is to capture as many headbands as possible from the other side."

The corner of Milena's lips lifted into a devious grin, and she specifically had her eyes on Hunter. Despite the fact that Doug was literally standing right next to her, of course.

Miguel couldn't help but eavesdrop on his former一 (?) he didn't know where they stood, actually一 friend's conversation, and think about how messy her life had gotten. Well, she was already messy when they first met, but this was getting ridiculous. She went from kissing Demetri in front of the whole cafeteria, to dating one of Hawk's little thugs while still being in love with Demetri and having a bit too much chemistry with that new guy.

He didn't know what the hell happened to her一 totally not because he had been so obsessed with Sam and Tory一 but he made a mental note to give whoever turned her into this much more problematic version of her a piece of his mind.

"Today, the people across from you are not your friends. They're not your brothers. They are the enemy. The last team standing wins,"

"How do we get the headbands?" Miguel asked, mostly to Mr. Kreese.

"By any means possible," he responded nonchalantly, which made Kai nearly piss his pants a bit.

"Use your judgement," Sensei Lawrence chimed in, clearly as an attempt to reassure the students who were concerned. "This is just a training exercise."

"Correct, but remember," Kreese tapped back in, and held up a spare red bandana he had, "this is your life. You lose it, you die."

Kreese's words really resonated with Milena. This game was basically kill or be killed, and it wasn't much help that she was probably the most competitive person in the vicinity. Her closest friends, Hawk and He Who Shall Not Be Named, absolutely hated playing games in which they had to get against her because she took it too seriously. It wasn't ever just a game to her, it was life or death.

The playful expression plastered on her face faded within seconds, and was replaced with a cold glare towards whatever she found herself looking at. It was like Hawk felt the sudden imaginary chill in the air, and it prompted him to look her way. He shifted on his feet uncomfortably, and the ego he was just proudly showing off had become nowhere to be found for a few seconds一 until he realized that other people could see him, and he swiftly readjusted himself.

When Kreese blew his whistle, hell had broken loose. Most people thought to get away from the area, but Milena wasn't one of those people. One of Hawk's goons turned around, and she instantly ran up on him, taking a fistful of hair. He yelped in pain, but it was quickly muffled by a kick she sent to the back of his head一 it seemed like it was impossible, but not for the girl with a gymnastic background. The sight of how fast he dropped to the ground was sickening, and the stragglers ran off.
