A kiss to your cheek. Innocent and sweet. Though Tommy had a separate class this period, he walked you to yours first.

"I'll see you later." You told him by the lockers,  watching him start to walk away.
That smile fading as you saw at the door of the classroom, Leah and Stacy stood with crossed arms and exchanged side eyed glances. They watched the entire thing, you could tell by the way they snickered at each other.
Leah and Stacy made a sport of tormenting you,  just like they would harass the other girls at the school. For some reason, in this class, you were their favorite to play with.

Bringing your books closer to your chest, trying to avoid them without interacting, you huffed with an annoyed eyeroll once you took your seat.

"How adorable." Stacy spoke over your head at the desk.

"You and Tommy have been going steady for how long now? And he doesn't even properly kiss you?" Leah was chewing gum while speaking, loud and obnoxious. You knew she ate like a pig and never gained any weight.
She stood there, glaring at you, looking like a cow chewing their cud.

The two girls were like serpents, as they hissed and teased, trying to get a reaction as you pretended they didn't exist. They sat at the desks by you, Leah right behind and Stacy right across from Leah.

Leah's face then brightened with a malicious smirk. Leaning across the aisle, she lifted her hand to cover a whisper into her friend's  ear.
Both of them giggling, you tried your best to keep ignoring them while taking out a pencil and flipping to an empty section of your notebook.

If the lecture could start now, that would be great, you internally pleaded.

"I bet you guys haven't even slept together yet, huh?" Leah then leaned forward at her desk, harshly whispering to your sweater adorned back.

The lead of your pencil snapped.

It's just that you weren't ready. Simple. Things were fine the way they were.

Tommy was sweet about it, having talked about it once before.
You knew it was in the future, but you had other things to think about.

Leave it to Leah and Stacy to get you to overthink everything.

You never took the time to notice if Tommy had any social pressures from his own group of peers. Did they ask him if you two had slept together yet? Probably safe to assume he also was questioned.
Would he be honest?

"What's your deal?" You glared at them in exasperation,
"It's none of your business what Tommy and I do." You spoke sternly to them.
