Capricious thinking is what brought him to this outcome. Mako would be home alone today if they just left her. He had the inter-high, his sister had school, and his mother had work. Usually they would leave her at home, but the neighbor they had trusted to watch the house from time-to-time was leaving to go to Osaka for the week, and there was no other neighbor that they actually knew, so they had two choices:
Mako go with him to the inter-high and risk getting seen.
Or.
Mako stay at home and wish for the best.
And Shoyo being paranoid decided that, hey, let's put her at her school bleachers, have her in disguise and pray he isn't there. Manifesting for the best and hopefully he has fate on his side this one time. He's too tired to deal with any more plot twists, please he just wants to be done with everything.
And so far, it hasn't been that hard. She was wearing a convincing-enough brown wig and had anti-radiation glasses on. Plus she had his school's female uniform on and bam she fits right in. Of course she'd informed coach about it and surprisingly he was lenient, so that's cool. She was in-between Mako and Kiyoko staring at Shoyo with an intensity not even the Mohs scale could figure out.
Shoyo decided that what he did not see, did not bother him. So if he didn't see how Mako looked like she was staring at him like she was evaporating him with sheer willpower, he did not know that she was actually mad at him for bringing her there. It was for her own safety though! Maybe. Who could blame him for being paranoid though?
Kiyoko was there being the girlboss she was and the banner was hung there, proudly and in bold.
FLY
They were going against a team called Tokonami first. They had already discussed all the possible teams they have to look out for and so far, there were a lot.
There were a lot. Which made Shoyo's stomach churn quite a bit, but hey, what's a little excitement without the impending doom? They were sure everyone was pretty much not expecting much from them, considering all the whispers of "wingless crows" coming from this, there, and everywhere. The way they dispersed like rats was funny though, especially when they saw the team—Asahi. The other teams didn't really matter though. There were other things to care about.
Like the fact that both Aoba Johsai and Date Tech had to be right there in their block though was definitely not giving, but it was a hurdle they were willing to overcome. To the top of the summit, as many say. And they were definitely reaching for the stars. The intimidation was high and anxiety at rise.
Should he give a special mention to Asahi's by the way? That was so random. Alone from Dateko straight up pointing his finger and "locking on" Asahi was a sight to see. The man was shaking in his boots right after.
Also not to mention, their encounter with the Great King. Again, really random, but it happened. Apparently Iwaizumi beat his ass just a couple moments ago but it definitely didn't look like it with how preppy he was still acting. They were definitely looking forward to their rematch.
Speaking of matches, theirs was about to start. Tokonami high, where Daichi actually had a friend at.
Dateko's cheer squad was loud.
"Let's show everyone in this hall that the "flightless crows" are in the air once more." They gave each other looks and nodded. This was it. They were really at the starting point.
"Behold! This is the veteran Karasuno's revival!"
"OSUUU!" The whole team cheered in agreement.
