I would imagine that Mattheo would always be really tough and protective of u around others but deep down he has a soft spot that he only shows to you.
He likes giving gifts, even if u wish he wouldnt. But u both just like spending quality time together and dont care about all the diamond rings you could buy eachother.
He usually feels f bad though when you guys are having a good time together and turns around and sees someone giving a gift and walking away, so even when you tell him not to get you anything he gives you a gift.
That's the thing with you two, you both buy eachother gifts when you see another couple giving gifts, you feel like the other one wants to recieve gifts like that, you just don't want to get one yourself.
He's very nice around you but he could break any second if a guy goes near you.
You always read to each other and cuddle often.
Overall Mattheo is just really sweet when nobody is looking.(Soft Mattheo <3)
