Summary: Y/n and Mattheo break up but Mattheo is still really protective over Y/n but is still keeping a distance. Also your a Granger because I felt like it.

Me and Mattheo broke up a while a go...by a while I mean a few days. We're not friends, We're just... Strangers. 

I quickly walk fast down the corridors desperate not to get another detention, the detention isn't even the bad part, is Mione's lectures

I walk into the classroom desperately hoping Mr.Flitwick didn't realise my absence or late arrival.

I sit down as he says loudly,"Ah,Miss Granger,So glad you finally decided to join us."?

"Sorry sir, Proffessor Snape had me write an essay after class." I lie.

"I did?" Snape says stepping out of professor Flitwicks office,"Detention Miss Granger."

Hermione rolls her eyes at me as I take out my books.

"What Mione?" I ask her obviously annoyed.

"Nothing." She says smartly,"I just dont understand why you do this to yourself."

"Do what?" I ask her.

"your always getting into trouble Y/n, maybe if you weren't constantly in detention you would get a chance to study."

"why do you care so much? Because I'm not the know-it-all-Hermione?"

"Honestly Y/n when Will you grow up, its an opportunity to go to Hogwarts and I think you better treat it with respect like-"

"Detention Ms.Granger." Snape says as he walks toward the door.

"for what Sir?"

"you were speaking out of term."

"but-"

"double Detention!" He says closing the door leaving Hermione speechless.

"This is all your fault Y/n." She mumbles.

"Wait... What was that? Did the Hermione Jean Granger finally get a detention."

"shut it Y/n."

"you will be working on a project so you will need partners, I will let you pick, you get the rest." Flitwick mumbles.

"we should be partners!" Hermione says.

"I love you Mione, but... No." I say,"unless your going to do all the work..."

"not a chance Y/n." She says walking over to Ron.

Draco and I decide to be partners so he goes and gets the equipment.

I look over and see Mattheo looking at me expressionless.

I give him a small smile that he returns with a confused look.

 I look away as Draco comes by. He looks between me and Mattheo then smirks widely. 

I look at him trying to figure out what he was smirking at me about. 

"No." I say realizing what he was smirking about. 

"Are you sure... It kinda seems like you and him got back together." He says. 

"No Draco." I roll my eyes. 

[Later]

 I was walking alone down the crowded corridors when I walked into the Great Hall for dinner. 

I walk in and sit next to Pansy,Draco,Blaise, Mattheo and other slytherins. 

"Hey Y/n!" Pansy says to me. 

"Quiet down Pansy, im right next to you" I say rubbing my ears. 

"Did anyone finish the project for History of Magic?" Blaise asks,"i couldn't do it last night."

 "And Why was that?" Draco asks. 

"I dont know... I was busy..." He says.

 "Really? Because Mattheo told me he saw you sneaking Zucchini from the kitchen." Pansy says laughing.

 "What project?" I ask them. 

"We started it last week Y/n! How do you not remember?" Pansy laughs. 

"I don't know..." I say. 

"If I'm being honest Y/n, you probably just fell asleep." Draco said.

 "Shut up." I say jokingly feeling slight embarassment wash over me. 

"Y/n!" Cedric says as he walks over to us all. 

"Hey, Cedric!" I say to him.

 "Uhm, can i talk to you... Alone." He says. 

"Yeah of cou-" I begin before being interrupted. 

"No." Mattheo says,"i mean, if you have something to say, say it to all of us."

 "I- um... Okay." He says shaking his head,"I was wondering if you were single..." 

"Mhm" I say to him. 

"Okay, well do you maybe want to go to Hogsmeade with me?... "

 "Yea-" 

"No!" Mattheo screamed loudly. Everyone looks at him.

 "Yes I am." I say sternly to him. 

"Y/n... Can I talk to you...alone" He asks. 

"Why? If you have something to say, say it to all of us." I mock. 

"Fine. You cant go out with Diggory." He says.

 "Why not? You can't tell me what to do." I say defensively. 

"Because... He'll break up with you over something stupid!" He says. 

I nod my head while my eyes widened.

 "Hmm sounds familiar." 

"What? We had a good reason to break up." He says.

 "Breaking up with me because I wouldn't break up with you isn't a good reason."

 "We had a reason. You know what I am Y/n and you still chose to stay with me."

 "Because I loved you Mattheo. Until you started being a conplete jerk to make me break up with you. You knew that talking to Cho wasn't right, going on dates with her while making sure I knew you were "cheating" then when I never broke up woth you tried to tell me that I probably cheated too, but How the fuck does that make sense?" 

"Well you-" 

"Will you stop Mattheo? We broke up and thats just the way things are, stop being so protective over me, your not my boyfriend, and I'm not your girlfriend."

 "Well i don't want to to see nobody else okay? " he says.

 "Well if I cant see anybody else then neither can you." I say to him. 

"Okay, fine." He says. 

"Okay well then... What does that make us? Friends?"

 "Nope. Let's just say... "( Friends with benefits? Haha im joking) "People."

 "People?" 

"Mhm!" 

"Okay fine." I say smiling. 

"I love You." He says. 

"I love you too" I say, "...platonically" I add, We both burst out laughing at my words. 

(A/n: can somone tell me why I started crying like why though? 😭 anyways sorry for the bad chapter I tried writing this for a while and nothing I wrote quite fit what it was meant to be.)
