Lizzie's POV

Slowly waking yawns and stretches luckily my classes start later this afternoon so it gave me time to stay in bed let's see what's on the news turns to the local news

Male news reporter: Good morning New York we're going straight to breaking news from London our news reporter there is standing by go ahead

Female News reporter: Thank you Steve a few hours ago a joint operation between the British SAS and the American Special Forces (catches Lizzie full and undivided attention) they have taken down a safe house here in London that housed the ones responsible for the terrorist bombings at Piccadilly Circus and at the US Embassy here's the official statement from Stockland Yard and ones who were apart of the operation (cuts to the press conference that happened a few hours ago)

Stockland Yard Spokesperson : Now we're gonna hear from the leader of the American Special Forces team that co-led this mission Y/N L/N

Lizzie instantly sits up on her bed seeing her boyfriend on the television brought a huge smile on her face and turns up the volume of the tv to hear him talk

Y/N: Thank you (takes off his helmet) I won't be taking any questions, I'm gonna go straight to the point at 2300 hours we cleaned out a safe house that housed the terrorist group that was responsible for the attacks at Piccadilly Circus and the US embassy along with the help of my new friend Captain Price and his men of the SAS we executed the operation and put the individuals down with extreme prejudice and we gather intel and locations of potential locations of future attacks we sent out warnings to each location so their local authorities are now aware of the threats and are taking all the necessary measures to keep their citizens safe. With that being we also uncovered the location the leader of the terrorist group you may know him as Omar Sulaman we simply know him as the wolf, with help of the Afghanistan military and the freedom fighters there our boys at the army and the marines are currently on their way to apprehend him and extract him to the US first making a stop at the embassy me along with Price we're are gonna be at the US Embassy in Afghanistan to help with transport detail thank you everyone for your time (walks away)

Back to Lizzie with a sense of pride joy and a bit of fear seeing her boyfriend the love of her life on tv being a hero a sexy badass hero thinking to herself

Lizzie: (whispers to herself) stay safe baby I love you

Then suddenly her cellphone rings it was her mom calling

Lizzie: (answers the phone) Hey mom good morning what's up?

Janette: Hi honey good morning just wanted to check up on you also to see if you saw what I just saw

Lizzie: Yea I saw Y/N and his team took down the terrorist safe house

Janette: And how are you holding up (referring to the constant fear Lizzie has about Y/N being out on the field)

Lizzie: It's slowly getting better slowly but better, he still constantly writes to me and I have every single one in a shoe box under my nightstand it's just..... I miss him so damn much mom I wish he was here with me I want him to be the first person I see waking up in the morning (wipes away a single tear)

Janette: I know baby we all miss him he's like a son to me and your dad, he's a strong person Liz he fights to make the world a safer place for us even for
Your future kids my future grand babies

Lizzie: (chuckles) That's still years off mom but honestly he's the only man I see being with the one who'll be the father of my children mom just right now me finishing up my last year of college and Y/N be the badass soldier in god knows where it's difficult to think of that now

Janette: There'll be plenty of time for you two to talk about that, just for now think about this time being away from each other as a small obstacle along the road alright? I gotta go baby me and your dad are gonna go on our morning jog I love you okay call me if you need me

Lizzie: I will mom I really appreciate you calling me I love you too bye (hangs up the phone she suddenly gets this feeling that something might go wrong when Y/N goes to Afghanistan)

Later That Night

After coming home tired from a long day consisting of stress filled classes she turns on the tv then walks to the kitchen to start making dinner for herself then plugs her iPod to her speaker to play the song Y/N dedicated to her Dreaming of You by Selena then her cell phones and it's a number that she doesn't recognize and begins to worry

Lizzie: Hello?

?: Hi is this Miss Elizabeth Olsen?

Lizzie: uhh yes this is she.

?: Great! Your manager gave me your phone number to contact you directly, My name is Kevin Feige the president of Marvel Studios and I'm calling for a movie role that I believe you'll be the perfect candidate for.

Lizzie stunned and overjoyed from what she heard and continues to talk to Mr Feige about the role while in the living room the tv cuts to breaking news

Female news reporter: I'm sorry ladies and gentlemen for interrupting you regularly scheduled broadcast but we have breaking news coming from Afghanistan the US Embassy that's currently holding Omar Sualman is under attack by his supporters I repeat the US embassy has fallen the America Special Forces Captain Y/N L/N and SAS Captian John Price was seen arriving by helicopter to the scene but unfortunately their helicopter was hit by RPG missiles and crashed on the roof we're not sure at this moment if they survived the crash we're gonna bring you more information as it becomes available

A/N: Sorry for not releasing this chapter sooner here in California the heat and mix of rain has caused black out so I wasn't able to work on it last night. And wow Lizzie gets the phone call of a lifetime but isn't aware of situation that involves her boyfriend is Y/N safe?? Did he survive?? Found out on the next chapter of A Glimpse of Us!!
