One week later, in Higar's most beautiful hotel.

"All right, guys, let's go to our rooms and take a bath! See you in a hour!" Somerset exclaimed. Each team did as requested. Amphion and Ingrid were climbing the stairs.

"I've never been in this place before..." Ingrid said. Then, while addressing Amphion, she asked:

"What about you? Have you been here as well to take some rest during your two months of training?"

"No, I haven't. I usually went to the other hotel. The Hemiwater's one. It's less expensive, but it's decent, as you well know." He answered.

"You're right. This place is better if you want to relax, but I guess that wasn't your goal back then."

"To be honest, I can't wait to see how our room looks like. There must be a reason why this hotel is known as the most beautiful."

"I'm pretty sure it's going to be a small one. I've heard the big deal is on the last floor. There's a pool influenced by wind magic. I believe someone called it "hydromassage". It must be good."

"Are you going to try it?"

"I don't know. We're staying for one night only. I don't think I'll have the time to do that. One day, perhaps." Suddenly, both Amphion and Ingrid heard some familiar voices:

"I can't believe Gustavo hasn't come."

"That waitress subjugated him. How pathetic. This is not love."

"He should talk to her."

"Definitely." The guys speaking were Fernando and Kajus, two members of team 1. They were climbing the stairs as well. After they spotted Amphion and Ingrid, Fernando greeted them:

"Oh, hello there! You're two members of the team 3. Eleri's companions, right?"

"Somerset abandoned us to stay with her. I guess it happened the same thing to you." Kajus said while approaching them.

"More or less. Are our rooms on the same floor?" Amphion asked.

"Actually, we got lost. This place is huge, we were searching for a map or something similar." Fernando answered.

"I saw one. It was in the main hall." Ingrid said while pointing downstairs with her thumb.

"Oh! Then this isn't the right way. Thank you." Kajus answered. Then, both him and Fernando went down the stairs running. Amphion and Ingrid looked at them go.

"To be honest, I'm relieved they still see us as recruits. I was afraid we were going to put pressure on everyone unintentionally." Ingrid said.

"I didn't think someone like you could have such a thought." Amphion said.

"What's that supposed to mean?" Ingrid got quite angry after hearing those words. Even though she is well aware of her being a choleric person, she can't stand those who point that out. Amphion understood the mistake he had made right away. That wasn't the first time something like that happened, so he was prepared. He avoided conflict immediately:

"Absolutely nothing. Anyway, I don't want to contradict you, but those guys' clearest quality is their boldness. I'm pretty sure they act like that even when your father or Haydan are around. Well, Acrisius doesn't care, Haydan threatened them a couple of times." Amphion answered. Ingrid chuckled. She apparently calmed down, Amphion thought he had got off the hook as easily as he had planned. He was wrong. Ingrid grinned:

"What was that? "Absolutely nothing", you said? I was worried about how the others would look at us now, but maybe I should be more worried about what you think of me now. Where's your boldness?" She asked. Amphion tried to shrug the pressure off yet again:

"What's with the grin? It's creepy." He said. Ingrid rolled her eyes.

"Yeah, sure, sure." She said while starting to climb the stairs again. She usually never feels like teasing, but when she does, it's always with Amphion. The outcome is always the same. Getting a reaction out of him is a lost cause.
