"Ilan nakuha mo?" She asked him with a wide smile, holding her test paper.

"Ikaw, ilan?" He returned the question.

"98!" Her smile grew wider. "Ikaw?"

"97 lang," he flashed him a small smile. Agad siyang kinantyawan ng dalagita. Napailing nalang siya bago tinago ang test papee niya sa kanyang bag para hindi niya na ito agawin at tignan.

The truth is, he got a perfect 100. He just didn't want her to feel pressured. He didn't want her to cry her eyes out tonight because of her score.

"Gusto kita," nanglaki ang mata ng binata, hindi makapaniwala sa sinabi ng dalagitang kasama niya.

"Ano 'ka mo, Isabel?" He asked again.

"Sabi ko, gusto kita." That's where their love started. Everything was doing well between them. Yet, they were still rivals in terms of Academics despite them being lovers. Nasanay na silang kakumpitensya ang isa't-isa sa academics.

"Hindi ko na nga siya pinapansin kanina," he sighed, pertaining to his girlfriend.

"E, bakit naman?!" Antonio asked.

"Puro kami away nitong nakaraan. Nakakapagod.. Makikipag hiwalay na nga ako, e." His friend, Antonio, was shocked. He stared at him and didn't utter any words. He was speechless.

"Ayoko na, maghiwalay na tayo." The young lady blinked multiple times before forcing a laugh.

"Grabe ka naman mag-joke, love! E, kakagaling ko lang! Ano ka ba," She was still laughing. She stopped when she saw the look in the man's face. He was serious.

"I'm serious, Isabel. We should split up," napaawang siya. Hindi na niya napigilan pa ang binata dahil naglakad na ito paalis.

Because of it, her grades decreased. She lost her awards. He became Top 1. He couldn't believe it either. He was confused why her grades didn't make it to the required average to be an honor.

It was as if her life stopped.

"Bea, huy! Ano't naka-stop ka diyan?"

I snapped back to reality when I felt Anton's hand on my shoulder. Napapikit-pikit pa 'ko dahil humapdi ang mata ko. Napakatagal ko rin yatang nakatulala sa kawalan.

"May sinasabi ka?" I asked.

"Nako, not listening." Maddie teased which made all of them laugh. Napairap ako.

"Kaklase ko ex mo sa Accounting," Anton said, flashing me a wide smile.

"Sino ro'n?" I asked, magkasalubong ang kilay. Anton's smile immediately faded. Natawa ako dahil kanina lamang ay tila mapunit ang mukha niya sa lapad ng ngiti niya.

"Siguro si Caracut," Sarkastikong saad ni Deanna.

"Si Thirdy," Napatango na lamang ako.

Sa totoo lang, wala na talaga akong pakialam. Besides, our relationship ended long long time ago. Over na rin naman ako sakanya.

After our classes, we went home immediately. Naligo na 'ko agad pag-uwi ko dahil kakain kami sa labas nila Maddie.
