Chapter 30

Amora's pov

Clair comes back with a jar filled with cotton balls filled with alcohol
She begins to wipe down my legs and arms and hips
"NO N- PLEASE, please, I'm sorry, please don't  mom please."
"I'm sorry honey" she tries to soothe me
I try to buck but my body has no feeling
"Al- ALLISTER! Allister PLEASE ! Allister..." I sniffle out
"He's not here Amora, I'm sorry."

Allisters Pov

I'm running laps with the other soldiers, I watch as Dante chats with some guys a couple rows behind me
I think maybe solitude will help lift this curse off of me.
I look over at the soldier next to me, Grayson,
His contagious happiness is making me sick.
"What's got you so perky?" I drip with venom

"I got a two week extra supply of rations." His smile grows
"How did you manage that?"
"Well I was helping out this doctor carry some boxes and I don't know I think she was fighting with her husband, so she told me if I kept him away or what not she would give me extra ration's"
What the hell type of relationship is that?
"Keep him away? Why?"
"I think she was doing testing on somebody and he was like trying to sabotage her, That was all I could gather from eavesdropping"
"Grayson, I think this is serious who was the doctor?" I know he's the slow one of the bunch but he can't be this dumb.

"I don't know but she was Hispanic and her last name was like martes- me-men- something like that, I don't remember and I don't care."
A Hispanic doctor that lady name starts with a Men?
AMORA?!
I immediately run out of line
"Where do you think your going soldier?" Our commanding officer yells at me but I ignore him
I race through the door back inside.
This is what Amora was trying to tell me and I was being a Dick
SHIT!
I race to the center of the hospital
Which wing is it
North? East?
A small woman walks past me and I grab on to her arm.
"I'm so sorry but do u know where Dr Mendez is?" I rush out
She pulls her arm out of my hand and adjust her shirt
"She usually is in the west wing."
"Great thank you!" I take off in that direction
I get to the wing and I slide to a stop.
I'm met with 2 guards
Is this the right place
"Al- ALLISTER! Allister PLEASE ! Allister..." Amora screams out
"Let me in."
I move to push past them but they both grab me.
I struggle to get free when one of them kicks in my knee cap.
They push me down to the floor and Send me sliding back.
I growl and stagger to my feet.
I run towards the guard on the left, ramming his body into the metal door
The other guard goes up behind me and slams his fist down on my back, again and again until
I spit up blood but I still don't release the guard,
I just step back and slam him back into the door.
This time the guard smashes his fist against my ear
While the one behind me comes at me from the side and kicks my ribs in.
The pain sends my ears buzzing.
I ram the guard one more time before throwing his body on the floor his head hits the ground first and he's out
I wobbly step back my shoulders roughly rise and fall with my heavy breath
"OWWW -GASP-AAAA ALLISTER!" (Imagine she's like owww but like also gasping)
"CARMEN, YOU TOUCH HER, I'LL KILL YOU!"
"Get. Out. Of. My. Way." I snort back the blood from my mouth and nose and spit it on the soldiers shoe.
"I can't let anyone in." The soldier stumbles back before looking me in my face and smirking
"ALLISTER!!" She cries bloody murder and her voice cracks.
"DEAD CARMEN, YOU HEAR ME?"
I charge at the soldier, the door already on its last legs from my previous attack falls off the hinges and I land on top of the soldier
I clasp my hands to gather and repeatedly bash them into his skull until he no longer moves
I stand up and turn to the last two soldiers.
The one on the left immediately runs away
"Move." I say to the last one.
He shakily raises his gun
I quickly grab it and pistol whip him in the temple, and he falls over to the side.
I sloppily wipe the blood from my face
I bang my shoulder against the door
"Open up CARMEN. NOW!" I bang again,
I see a different doctor come up to the window
"Carmen...I think we should stop."
"WE ARE NOT GOING TO STOP. MIERDA! Just block the door." Carmen yells back
"Carmen I promise you. If you touch a hair on her head , you will wish you weren't alive.
All I can hear in return is the other doctor baracading the door with chairs and tables.
I ram again and again but it's no use I cant get in if only I could unlock the God damn door... my eyes drift over to the gun in the floor
I pick it up and aim it at the window
Fuck what if I hit Amora?
I turn the gun around and use the butt to break the window.
Once it's broken I use the gun to clear the surrounding glass and stick my hand in unlocking the door
"AMORA IM COMING FOR YOU JUST STAY AWAKE OKAY!"
I get no response
Once I open the door I push it as far as I can and then stick my hand in pushing some of the barrier aside.
"CLAIR GET YOUR ASS OVER THERE AND GUARD THE DOOR!" Carmen commands
"I- I'm sorry I can't he'll hurt me" she timidly replies
I open the door more and more before opening it with a final kick.
I am unable to utter a word when I see Amora strapped down with a towel in her mouth to gag her
Carmen stands over her with a syringe 2/3 filled with bone marrow sticking out of her shin
I rage fuels me as I walk towards her, she quickly removes the syringe.
"Allister you don't understand... I- We need this, don't you wanna save the worl-" she cuts off as I shove her backwards and she falls into the tables behind her
I move quickly as I remove the restraints from Amora, then I pull the gag out and she immediately starts to stammer.
"A-Allister, I was- sniffle- waiting for you to come," she shivers as I remove the hospital gown and dress her in her normal clothes.

"I know, I know, I'm here it's okay now." I smooth her hair back
She wraps her weak arms around me as I pick her up
"...no-hiccup- it's n-not she was going to k...kill me" she sobs into my shoulder
All I can do is stare down at her with sadness
"Alright we gotta go now, I'm gonna get you outta here okay." I walk around the table
"Go where?" She sniffles
"We need to leave here, if anyone finds out about your blood they will try to hurt you."
We make it to the hallway when the earth starts to shake and we hear explosions from the east side of the building
And the explosions seems as though they are only getting closer.
"WHATS HAPPENING?" Amora screams over the explosions as rubble beginning to fall.

I slide us into a corner and cover her from the falling deberé
"CLOSE YOUR EYES SND BREATH THROUGH YOUR SHIRT."
I Crouch lower covering her
"MADRE MÍA! Que voy hacer?" (My God, what am I going to do)
Carmen says as she crawls out of the operation room clutching her bleeding head
Carmen then starts to mumble something along the lines of "they are here for me"

"WHAT DID YOU DO NOW?" Amora yells at Carmen
"It's not My fault!" She screams back
"STOP LYING,WHAT DID YOU DO!?"
"... AFTER WE" the earth shakes again "AFTER WE CHANGED THE FORMULA OF THE MEDICINE, AND EVERY ONE BEGAN TO CHANGE, WE GOT A THREATENING MESSAE FROM A DIVISION OF THE GOVERNMENT"
She slides her body under the door frame
"THEY TOLD US WE NEEDED TO FIX OUR MISTAKE OR THEY WOULD KILL US, AND USE OUR BODIES AS TESTING DUMMIES! THATS THE REAL REASON WE LEFT, NOT BECAUSE OF THE OUT BREAK!"

She sobs as she repeatedly smacks her head in frustration.
"Really...are you serious?" Amora puts her head in her knees and breaks out into a hysterical laugh
"That's JUST FUCKING GREAT, No really mom A+ FUCKING JOB, wow! AND HERE I WAS THINKING, MAN THERE IS NO WAY SHE COULD BECOME ANY WORSE OF A PERSON, YOU FOUND A WAY, CONGRATULATIONS MOM YOU REALLY PUT THE ICING ON THE CAKE."
She laughs and her body shakes from laughter
"I'm sorry, I'm just trying to fix "hiccup" my mistake" Carmen wipes her eyes
"...your mistake, your FUCKING MISTAKE? No you were trying to use me to buy your way out." Amora's laughter stops
"No- No! You could have helped me saved the world, and you still can..." Her mother turns to look at us with outstretched hands
Amora stops everything, her breathing, her blinking, her talking. She just looks dead at Carmen before throwing her body at her
"SHUT UP!" She growls at her and I wrap my arms around her waist trying to keep her from the falling debris.
She lurches in my arms and tries to swipe at her.
A large piece of the roof caves in separating us from her mom
I pull Amora back and shield her
"Okay we need to get out of here, or we will be crushed."
I grab Amora's face and try to get her eyes to focus on me
"Can you walk?" I ask
"A little, I don't have complete feeling yet."
"Okay that's fine, just lean on me."
I turn  from her to look at the exit down the hall, I think we can make it.
But we will have to watch out for rocks and metal poles.
"Alright on 3 we get up and run right through that path to the exit, okay?" I demonstrate the path with my hand
She nods back
"1,2,3!" I yell as I wrap my arm around her waist and take off through the hallway,
I lean majority of her weight on me as we limp through the hall
Debris crumbles and the lights begin to flicker on and off
"DONT JUST LEAVE ME HERE!" Carmen yells out trapped beneath the rubble.
"AMORA, PLEASE!" She begs
I look down at Amora as tears drip down her
"Let's keep moving." She tells me whipping her tears.

Hey guys sorry for not posting, I got distracted writing my other book,
