Shergill Mansion , New Delhi
I wanted to have a peaceful night , so I consumed my sleeping pills and in the morning I woke up at my usual time, 4:30 am. I exit my room and all floors of my house have small kitchenette spaces for easy access . I heat water to make my usual apple cider vinegar solution , I make that for Ritvik Bhai as well as I know he would've been awake as well . I enter his room without knocking and find him on the desk working on his I-pad .
Ritvik Bhai visits India not often , until there are any family gatherings , he has a rift with Papa and Chachu, which I am aware of, but others don't know , but I am sure once everything is set alright, our family will get back to how it used to be .
"You awake ?" , he asks as he takes in my presence and I just nod my head , I am the one who is entirely grumpy in the morning . I lend him his cup and sit down on the couch next to his desk .
"You slept ?" , he questions
"I did", I answer , I don't want to tell him I took the sleeping pills last night.
"Truth" , he sternly says .
God why does he knows me so well .
"It is the truth , I slept well" , I try to counter him , keyword being try .
"DEVIKA" , he growls
"Okay fine , I took pills" , I grumble back .
"Devika , what is happening baby ." , he politely asks , he's worried - I know that from his tone .
"I don't know , I am trying Bhai . I am . But overtime on the verge of recovering a new instance happens . I am getting tired of fighting ." I tell him back while sipping from my cup and it's for the best that he doesn't extend the conversation. I just pick mine and his cup and put it on a side take in the corridor , some help will pick it up .
