It was about time to leave, but things didn't go as planned. Buu fell into his deep slumber, and not even Hercule was able to wake him up. Beerus was disappointed and ordered Goku to find a fighter to fill in Buu's position. Goku then remembered one of his past friends who helped him train when he was little. His name was Rimuru, and Goku remembered him for being extremely powerful so he decided to pay him a visit.

As Goku flew above the vast forest, he could now see what appears to be a tower and decided to approach it. As Goku came closer to the tower, he realized that his whole surrounding was slowly changing. It was because of the invisible barrier that Rimuru put over the island. That barrier had a similar effect to an illusion and was meant to keep his village safe from any hostile being. The moment Goku entered the barrier he discovered there was some kind of village on the island. He slowly descended from the skies as he landed on the streets of Tempest. After some time of searching, Goku finally came up to Rimuru whom was drinking a cup of coffee.

Rimuru turned around seeing a familiar face he haven't seen in years. It was none other than Goku.
