Even after the show of Rimuru's terrifying power, the other universes didn't lose hope as they fought desperately to secure their universe. Realizing that universe 7 were a threat to them, the God of destruction and Kai of universe 11 commanded Jiren to make his move, starting with Son Goku.

Goku on the other hand was now fighting a berserking Kale, as her massive energy spread around the arena. Knowing she could be a huge threat, Goku tried to calm her down, but she just roared and charged at him aggressively. Unlike canon, Goku is not exhausted and was able to easily hold Kale back. Goku then powered up a Kamehameha hoping to stop Kale, but just in that moment, Jiren appeared as he effortlessly blasted Kale away.

Jiren then turned around as he looked at Goku whom was in a battle stance. Goku was excited to finally have his chance of fighting Jiren as he slowly approached his intimidating foe.

As usual, Goku tried attacking Jiren in his base form but it was useless as Goku's fist couldn't even make contact with Jirens body. Jiren made no move on Goku and stood firm as he measured Goku's power. The Saiyan then transformed into his super Saiyan state as he launched countless punches at Jiren, but it was all useless. Knowing it was not enough to make Jiren serious, Goku transformed into his super Saiyan God state as he throws a hard punch at Jiren. It was blocked with one finger, nonetheless Jiren finally made a move. Goku began throwing rapid punches at Jiren in hope of only grazing him, but the results were the same as Jiren continued blocking all his attacks.
