HER BODY SEEMED TO BE OVERHEATING AS SHE TURNS TO HER SIDE. As comfortable as the bed was, something about this night was making it unbearably hot and she wanted to do nothing but jump into a tub of cold water. One thing Astrid couldn't stand was the heat and sweating. Living on a perfectly cool and temperate planet, her body was far from accustomed to the heat.

With a defeated sigh, Astrid finally gives up on sleeping. Her eyes open, an irritated look on her face. Vader wasn't sleeping beside her tonight, it was odd. Since she had gotten there, every night, he would slip under the covers with her. But he was nowhere to be seen tonight.

Slowly, the woman pushes herself to sit up, a lazy hand combing her hair out of her face. The room was dark other than the orange hue of the lava below sneaking through the vast window. Her sleep-glazed eyes travel over the blackness of the room, stopping when she sees a small peek at the white fluorescent lights of the bathroom. It was barely perched open, only a mere sliver of the room was visible, but even then Astrid could find the silhouette.
