"Let's hope he's a good guy."
You stood beside your mom, watching your step-dad open the door.
At first he was confused.
"Uh, hello?"
"Can I help you?"
He asked.
A pretty girl was at the door.
"Hi sir... I'm here for dinner?"
"Y/n invited me."
Your heart started pounding in your chest.
All this time, they were expecting a guy.
Not a girl.
After a few seconds of silence
Your step-dad welcomed the girl with open arms.
"Come in, come in, it's so great to meet you!"
Your mother kissed your forehead and whispered.
"Our love hasn't changed for you a bit sweetie."
You looked at her.
"Thanks mom this means a lot to me."
