Simeon asked quietly as he held his head down.
Gazing at the ground, tears starting to fill his eyes.
"So this is the end?"
They stepped toward Simeon, but stopped because they knew if they held him they would never let go.
They took a deep breath amd watched his defeated figure standing infront of them.
"I'm so sorry Simeon."
They whispered as they refused to let the tears fall.
They needed to be strong for both of them.
"I'll try to call everynight and-"
"This doesn't feel right."
"We should have more time."
He placed his hands on his thighs and squeezed his eyes shut as he tried to think of what his life would be without them.
Without hearing their voice everyday.
Without waking up next to them everyday.
"Sweetheart, the world works in mysterious ways."
"Some are meant to last, others aren't meant to last."
There were others.
Other angels.
Other humans.
But no one would be the same.
There were people who got their happy endings.
But, the both of them weren't as lucky as those people.
It was one of those right person wrong time.
They forced a bright smile and laughed.
"But that's okay right?"
Their voice broke but they smiled.
To them didn't matter how they were feeling if this was going to be the last time they saw Simeon.
They were going to make sure Simeon saw their face with a smile on it.
"We've had time together and that's what is important isn't it?"
"We met, were able to spend time together."
"So that's what matters sweetheart."
"Do you think we'll meet again in the future?"
They thought for a moment and their heart broke even more.
But hope still remained.
"Some are lucky enough to get a second chance."
"That could happen for us "
"Maybe just maybe we could be two of those people."
He reaches out the grab their hand and when their skin meant.
Their love lit once again.
"Then I Simeon swear on my angelicness that I will keep trying so we might have a second chance."
