Days, full days had passed and Halley refused to talk to Eli, he wasn't talking to her either so she wasn't the only one not making effort, she had spent all of those days thinking but in the end it felt as if her head was empty, she didn't know what to think anymore so, se went to the only person she trusted  with her secrets.

"He is being an asshole" Sam said laying on her cousin's bed while the other girl was just sitting on her vanity chair

"I know"

"But you should have told him that you weren't gonna have good service and wouldn't be able to answer"

"I know"

"But he didn't have the right to yell at you like that"

"I know!" Halley stood up from the chair and went to lay over her cousin  "What do I do?"

"Well, first get the hell off of me" Sam chuckled pushing Halley, her landing besides her "And now you do nothing, yes you made a mistake by not telling him you wouldn't be able to talk to him but.....in this situation he's the one in the wrong for yelling at you. Wait until he apologizes" she shrugged

"What if he doesn't?"

"Oh, he will" she said simply "Doesn't matter how much he has changed, that boy was absolutely on his knees for you and I would bet my entire house that he's losing his mind over yelling at you"

"You sure?" Halley grimaced

"I'm so sure that I'll bet you 20 dollars that he'll come to you to apologize on monday"

"Deal" they shook hands sealing

It was monday and Halley was having the worst day ever, her alarm didn't went off and she woke up late, she got ready and then realized there was no time for breakfast so she had to run, on the way to school a psychopath almost killed her with his fancy car and when she arrived she had one minute before first period, so she had to run again. She had a practice test for her PSAT's and her teacher almost didn't let her in, mid test her mind blanked and she almost didn't remember how to answer most of the questions. When she left that room she was not in a good mood, so when she was pulled aside into an empty hall she was ready to fight anyone, and she was getting ready to until she recognize the blue mohawk

"Hey" he said, and his voice was soft, it was as if for a few seconds he had switched off Hawk's personality and it was just Eli left, he was looking to the floor and and playing with his fingers

"Look Eli..." she sighed, she really didn't have the energy for another fight, so she wanted to end that conversation as soon as possible, any other day she would've been okay talking to him, but that was not her day "I really don't feel like doing this today so, are you here to continue your screaming match or..."

"No..." he interrupted immediately eyes finally setting on hers "I came here to talk- No, to apologize"

"Well, I'm listening"

"I shouldn't have yelled at you like that, I'm sorry" it was the most sincere look she had seen him portray after a while, and she believed he was sorry

"I'm sorry too, I should have told you I wasn't gonna be able to respond calls" she felt the need to also apologize, because she couldn't shook off the feeling she had done something wrong too

"Still shouldn't have yelled"

"Damn straight" she smiled softly, he copied, he got a weight off his chest by apologizing, he knew he was in the wrong but still took him a few days to find it in him to go up to her and talk

"Can I hug you now?" Halley nodded and Eli as fast as he could buried his face on her neck, arms around her waist, she put one hand on the back of his neck and the other one was on his back

"I hate you" Halley said smirking at her cousin, handing her 20 dollars "You were right, he apologized"

"Really? That's great" Sam smiled weakly and Halley frowned at her cousin's lack of excitement

"Everything okay? I just gave you twenty dollars and you look like someone killed your dog" Sam snorted

"I just had an argument with Miguel?" she sounded unsure "I don't even know what it was" they started walking to their next class glad they had it together

"What happened? Do I need to kick his ass?" Halley raised her eyebrows, Miguel was her friend but if he hurt her cousin there was gonna be hell to pay

"No, no, It was kinda my fault" she rushed to say, knowing her cousin wasn't joking about kicking his ass "He wants to come meet my parents and I just keep avoiding the situation because I know it'll end badly"

"I just think you should talk to them both, talk to Miguel about your dad, he'll understand and talk to your dad about Miguel and just explain, I'll help you convince him to give Miguel a chance if you want, My puppy eyes are pretty effective" the brunette pouted while making her eyes bigger and blinking really fast

"Stop" Sam shoved her cousin softly with a laugh "So I have to do a lot of talking? Amazing" she answered herself sarcastically

When Halley arrived to her house and found her mother in the couch reading a book

"Hey, mom" she said already going upstairs but her mom's voice stopped her

"Hall's, wait" The teenager turned to her mom from the stairs

"Yeah?"

"Amanda just called, she said Sam got into a car accident a few months ago with her friends. You weren't involved in it by any chance"

"Nope" she was relieved she didn't go out with her that day, she didn't really like being grounded "She was with Yasmine that day, I hate Yasmine so I wasn't there" she shrugged

"Great, I didn't feel like grounding you" she smiled "You can go on now" Halley continued her way to her room to take a nap she was so tired for no reason so she went to sleep
