"Henceforth, Miguel Diaz shall be known as The Rainmaker" Demetri dramatized as the they all warmed up for practice

"El diablo de la lluvia!" Hawk said, looking very proud of his spanish

"Yeah, but if they hadn't fallen for it we definitely would have beaten them" Sam nodded

"For sure" Halley said back. Sam had told her how she didn't really like that Miguel had done what he did instead of actually going to fight them. Halley on the other side, she really didn't mind, if they got violent first then she would've definitely not hold back but she thought that night it wasn't necessary to get violent, god knows how that always ends up

"Maybe, but there's still so many ways it could've gone bad" Miguel spoke back and Halley prayed that he could just drop it for the sake of peace and his relationship because Sam was one stubborn woman

"What could've gone bad?" Johnny appeared out of nowhere. Halley sighed already knowing where everything was heading, after having spend hours training with Johnny she had come to like the man and also she could say she got to know more of him, or at least enough to know he wasn't one to stand back from a fight and he wasn't gonna be happy that Miguel did

"We were about to get in a gnarly fight at the drive-in, sensei, but Miguel saved the day" Hawk started

"Oh, yeah, how'd you do that?" Johnny turned fully to the hispanic boy

"Told the Cobra Kais to come to the baseball diamond. Just in time for the grass to get watered" Miguel proudly said

"So you picked a fight, you didn't show up, and then you doused them with a hose?" That was just about the reaction Halley was expecting

"Oh, it was sprinklers" Demetri clarified, obviously and like always not picking up the social clues. Halley kicked him in the shin and shook her head for him to shut up, he simply glared at her. Then when Johnny looked at him he realized "I'll go back to saying nothing" he raised his arms inn surrender

"You just poked the bear. What do you think's gonna happen?" the blonde man started the lecture "You think they're just gonna leave well enough alone?"

"From everything I've heard about last night, it sounds to me like Miguel practiced restraint" Daniel cut off Johnny "Found a way to get out of a bad situation without anyone getting hurt. What do you want him to do, get in a drive-in switchblade fight" he retired "I'm proud of you. You've taken Miyagi-do teachings to heart" Daniel praised and Halley winced, that must've hurt the other man's ego

"Okay, LaRusso, we need to have a little talk" Johnny seriously said and stood closer to Daniel. Halley looked at Sam and they both rolled their eyes

'Here we go again' they both thought

"But they were interrupted by two men entering the dojo" One the knew, it was Kresee, but the other one they had no idea, he was a tall man with shiny white hair put up in a small ponytail and by the looks of it he had a lot of money as his whole attire looked more expensive than all of what they were wearing put together

The teens were immediately sent inside by Daniel. They all could see the tensions rise at the presence of the two old men so they obeyed but they were very curious so they all took a place peeking through the slightly open door.

"Sensei LaRusso is pissed. Who is that guy?" Miguel was the first one to talk as all of their eyes were stuck on the four men outside

"I have no idea" she shook her head and then looked at Halley. After Sam quit Karate Halley spent more time training with Daniel and hearing his Karate related stories, however, she had never seen that guy. She simply shrugged at her cousin

"He looks like a highlander" Bert commented

"The highlander. There can only be one" Nathan corrected. They watched silently as Daniel managed to get the men of his dojo but they could all see the senseis faces, they weren't happy about the visit but the also looked somewhat worried and that was never good

Walking into the school already made Halley feel ten times heavier than when she left her house that morning. She used to really enjoy school, life used to be so simple, she had her comfortable little routine with her best friends and that was it, now everytime she walked in the only thing she could think about was the fight and everything that had gone wrong after it.

She shook her head and stopped herself from staring at the staircase, she had resigned to the fact that there was something that was never going to go away and she just simply had to learn to live with it. At least she knew she wasn't alone, Sam too was in the same situation as her, neither had touched that specific subject before but she could tell by the way she somehow caught her cousin staring a second too long to the spot where Miguel had fallen.

She realized you just drag trauma along for the rest of your life and it's a matter of not letting it drag you down. It took her a while to realize but once she did everything just started going better for her.

All thoughts left her brain when a bright purple mohawk caught her eye. She smiled when she realized who that was, it was obvious who it was, because who else in his right mind had spiky bright coloured hair

"Hey, we're matching!" Halley walked up to him with a smile and pointed at her purple shirt and shoes. Hawk smiled back

"We look very badass" He nodded in approval. She had to admit, the color suited him, purple definitely looked good on him, also, purple was her favorite color, so that was a plus

"I like the new hair" she complimented "Any particular reason as to why you changed it? And why purple?" Hawk blushed slightly at the compliment and the questions

"I just felt like I needed a change" he cleared his throat to get the words out of his mouth "I got king of sick at the red and purple is a cool color" he said trying to sound nonchalantly

"It sure is" Halley nodded

Hello, hello

Take this as a reminder that trauma is not something that's going to disappear out of nowhere, if ever. In this case, yes, Halley is doing better, she's happier and she's getting her life back together, that however does not mean she is suddenly all better, things you go trough always stay with you, you just get better at being okay with that and learning to not focus completely on it to the point where it consumes our lives.

Also, healing is not linear, it's okay to relapse and going back to not feeling your best. It's not your fault and there is nothing wrong with you, it's normal that sometimes you're doing your best and the next second you're simply not, it's not you, your feelings are valid and you are allowed to not be okay. The important thing here is to have the strength to come out of it, because, trust me, if you did it once you can definitely do it again. Sometimes we just can't do it alone, and that's okay, sometimes we just need a little help, and that is completely valid, don't be scared or ashamed of seeking help or comfort from someone else, whether that's a friend, a family member, a therapist, a teacher, literally anyone.

You deserve to be listened to.

You deserved to be comforted.

You deserve to be helped.

And most importantly. You deserve to be happy.
