Sam had been discharged the day after the school fight, Halley, however had to stay for a day longer and since her parents weren't back to the Valley yet she was left on her own in the hospital room. Of course Daniel and Amanda had taken turns to see her and make sure she was okay, but their priority was Samatha, she was their daughter after all.

It's not like Halley had been the most communicative with them anyway, she had settled with saying one of two words to confirm that she was not feeling so great and crying when they were gone. She felt as emotionally and physically exhausted in a way she never had, so much so she hadn't even thought about how Robby might be, he did kick Miguel over a railing.

When she felt someone's presence in the doorway she just supposed it was her uncle or even most likely a nurse, so she opened one of her eyes, something she had been doing to greet people as the pounding headache the lights of the room gave her was almost unbearable.

But instead of the nurse's kind smile or her uncle's pity look she found a spiky red hair and a bruised face, she immediately opened her other eye and sat up suddenly something she regretted doing but didn't have time to duel on that. She backed up in the hospital bed to try and put as much distance between her and the boy, and in that moment she felt unprotected and vulnerable, she felt as if in any second Angela or even worse Erick were gonna jump out of nowhere to continue with what they did

"What in hell are you doing here?" Halley broke the silence as they had been staring at each other for a while. He couldn't say anything, and how could he, he had never seen Halley so scared of anything, much less himself. He opened his mouth to respond but nothing came out of it "Honestly, Hawk?" she sighed seeing he wasn't gonna say anything "I really don't have the energy to fight you anymore, don't you see what you and your little friends are doing?"

"It was Sam's fault" he went to give a step forward but Halley raised her hand and stopped him wordlessly. She had no idea why he was even there if all he was gonna do ws justify his 'friend's' awful actions

"Don't even" she refrained from shaking her head, she had enough of a headache from him being there already or maybe it was because of how quickly she sat up before, but she's blaming that on him anyway "If you came here to blame all of this..." she pointed at herself " and all of what happened in everyone else but Tory and Cobra Kai then don't even bother because I don't wanna hear it"

"It was just between Tory and Samantha, everyone else got involved because they wanted" there it was again with the excuses

"Why are you even here?" she ignored his words, she really meant it when she said she wasn't in the mood to fight him, she was never really in the mood to fight anyone, people just piss her off too much

"I- I don't even know" he hesitated. He was saying the truth, he suddenly felt the urge to see her and it seemed like the most normal thing, so he went to the hospital but on the way to her room it then hit him that she probably didn't wanna see him, but, for some reason he kept walking

"What do you want?" She tried with other question

"I don't know"

"Jesus" Halley sighed, she had no idea where the conversation was going at that point, she was confused in a superior level and her pounding headache wasn't making it any better "You have to know something" she said now exasperated, she wanted to grab him by the shoulders and shake him until he could form something that would help her understand what he wanted from her. The boy in front of her wasn't the one staring back at her the day of the party or in the fight in the mall, but he also wasn't the boy she once considered her best friend, she had no idea who he was anymore and she had a feeling he didn't either

"I want you back" as if the amount of times Angela and Erick kicked the air out of her lungs wasn't enough, here came Hawk and did it one more time for them, but this was a different kind of feeling, yes, she felt as if she couldn't breath, and they both weren't good feelings, but they felt different

Halley LaRusso had a moment of realization, right there, in front of her ex-boyfriend and this was triggered by the four words that came out of his mouth. She realized she didn't want Hawk back, she sure wanted what they had back, of course she did, their friendship and relationship before Cobra Kai was everything anyone could wish for, of course she wanted that back, she always would, but she didn't want him back. That was the problem, the person he had become was no longer attractive to the brunette in any way, she now looked at him and couldn't even distinguish the ghost of what she once knew.

"You have a girlfriend" was the only thing she managed sprow out

"No, I don't" he immediately denied shaking his head and Halley let out a humorless laugh

"You're really gonna stand here and tell me Angela isn't your girlfriend" Halley deadpanned "The main cause of me even being here is because she jumped at me like a jealous psychotic bitch" Halley spat out the words trying with everything in her to keep her cool and not start screaming at him "And if she really isn't then you must have her really confused. Because the way she was coming at me wasn't even half normal"

"I just want us back" he mumbled just loud enough for her to hear him and Halley had to stop another sarcastic laugh to rise up her throat

"You don't get it, do you?..." she really didn't understand how many times he wanted her to repeat that she was done with him. She was actually finished with the way he behaved, with the way he talked, she was done with him as a whole "There's no us anymore" she finally said "And with the way things are looking lately there will never be" and now that was the end, there was no words left to say and he knew it

"All right" was all he said and quietly walked away without looking back one more time.

Hello, hello

Damn, this was a long ass chapter of pure angst, usually chapters like this are not this long but it was kinda needed. Halley and Eli's relationship is in deepshit as you can see. The angst is real and it will keep being real in the next chapters.
