Chapter 26A: More Perspectives (The Annoying Chapter)

Peeta's POV

She's all hooked up. They don't know if she is going to make it out alive. They said she'd be lucky to live; she had a slim chance.

The other is crying, she's been crying all night.

Katniss and Prim. Prim and Katniss. Two innocent girls, and their lives have been tortured. It should have been me that passed out, not her. I should be crying out tears, not her.

Katniss' POV

I cry. I cry and cry and I don't care about what is happening around me. Once in a while I would gasp for air, then I'd start to cry again. Prim. She's going to die. The doctors have been nice, trying to comfort me, but I know she's going to die. Everyone knows. Nightlock can kill you before it reaches your stomach. She's going to die. And so I am going to cry.

Peeta's POV

She's been crying for the whole day. It rips my heart. She won't even eat, and she just cries and cries. Watching her cry makes me want to cry but I know that I must stay strong.

What is she going through? What if the other dies, then what would happen?

I want to tell her to be strong. I want to tell her that it's going to be all right. I want to tell her that it's okay. But I can't. Because it isn't. Prim's been out since the moment those berries went into her mouth. Sure, she's breathing but even that...that may be taken away soon as well.

Katniss' POV

They've told me that there is a slight chance that Prim might live, there're been small signs of life in her. Please, please let her live. She's still young.

Peeta's POV

She's not dead. She just might make it. And I'm happy for her. I really hope she makes it out of that room alive.

She's been in the room for about two days now, and only today the doctors were able to tell us that she might make it out alive.

The other hasn't been crying as much. I try to keep telling her of the hope, that there is a chance that she could make it out alive.

I wish I could help both of the girls. I wish she makes it out alive, and I wish that she will be happy again like the girl I used to know.

Katniss' POV

Peeta's been comforting with me for the past few days and I am grateful for him.

I don't know if it is out of pity or maybe just because he likes me. But I am still so grateful that he has stuck to my side even though all I have been doing is cry. I am thankful for the good people in my life. I am not thankful for the others, ones that are evil. The Capitol. The Gamemakers. Because of them, Prim's life is at risk. And I am going to make them pay, for risking the life of such a small and innocent child.

The doctors have told us that Prim is recovering quite quickly, and she has a larger chance to live, than to die.

Prim's going to make it out. At least that is what I will hold on to. I don't know what I would do without her.

Just this afternoon, one of the doctors walked up to us. I was afraid about what he was going to say.

The doctor came. He shared the news. Prim woke up.

She's awake. Prim is alive. She is awake.

~A/N~ Woohoo! I finally wrote the next chapter, I hope you guys will enjoy.

It's easier for me to think like Prim because we have a similar age and the same gender, but Katniss and Peeta were a bit tricky. It was kinda hard writing in Peeta and Katniss' POV, but plz tell me I did okay?

I decided to split chapter 26 into two parts, A and B. So now we have 2 more chapters to come! 26B, and 27.
