Chapter 4

Y/N awoke to gentle knocking on the basement door.

"May I come in?" Said Tanner from the other side of the door.

"Sure" Y/N yawned while responding.

Tanner gently opened the basement door and stepped in.

"Good morning Y/N" Tanner smiled shyly, walking up to Y/N.

"Good morning Tanner" Y/N wiped their eyes.

"I'm still sorry about yesterday" Tanner said while going to sit down on the mattress.

"Don't mention it." Y/N looked away at the mention of that night.

"Well, here's your breakfast.." Tanner said, smiling gently.

"Thanks" Y/N looked down at the breakfast.

"..."
"Y/N... How about I take you out today? Y'know like..., out of the basement?"
Said Tanner looking at Y/N.
Y/N ears perked up.

"You'd do that?" Y/N turned back to face Tanner, smiling.

"Mhm" Tanner nodded.
"Also, you stink" Tanner chuckled.

"I wonder why." Y/N raised their eyebrow and said in a sarcastic tone.

"Yeah yeah, now, eat your breakfast so you can shower"

"Right.. Right" Y/N began eating.

Once Y/N finished eating, Tanner said
"Alright now that you've finished, I need you to take my hand" blushing a bit.

"Okay then" Y/N took Tanners hand.

Tanner then lead Y/N out of the basement and up the stairs.

The upstairs was nice and neat. Nothing out of place, no dust to be seen.

"This place is pretty" Y/N complimented.

"Thank you, now let me take you to the bathroom" Tanner smiled.

Tanner then lead Y/N down the hall and into the bathroom.

"Now, I'm sorry for this, but I can't leave you here alone." Y/N said with a stern look on their face.

"Well are you atleast gonna cover your eyes?" Y/N asked.

"If that makes you more comfortable" Tanner shrugged.

"Alright then... But no peeking!"

Tanner then covered his eyes.

As Y/N began to undress.
They immediately noticed Tanner peeking.

"That pervert. Why am I not suprised?" Y/N rolled their eyes internally.

Y/N then stepped into the shower.

After a couple minutes..

Y/N stepped out, and began to dry themselves off.
Then they turned to Tanner and asked
"Soo am I meant to stay naked or-"

Which made Tanner sputter and blush "N-no, I have some new fresh clothes for you" Tanner then gave Y/N some of his clothes.

"I'm sorry that they're not your size" Y/N shrugged and started putting on the clothes.

"You can look now"

Tanner immediately uncovered his eyes and looking at Y/N.

"You look good.... And I'm not just saying that because you're in my clothes" Tanner smirked.
Having a smug look on his face.

"Thanks" Y/N smiled, but inside they were disgusted.

"Now, excuse me for this." Tanner then handcuffed himself to Y/N.

Alarm bells started going off in Y/Ns mind.

"What... the hell?" Y/N looked up at Tanner.

"What movies do you like?" Tanner grabbed Y/N by their waist and lead them out of the bathroom.

Even more alarm bells started going off in Y/Ns mind.

"Wait wait... Y/N. Chill. He tried you yesterday and you showed him what's up, It's unlikely for him to try again. I'm guessing that he's either trying to flirt with me or make it up to me. Hmmm... I can work with this. Play your cards right."

"I like romance movies" Y/N lied through their teeth. They had to flirt with the man who disgusted them the most.

"Really? You don't seem like the romantic type since... y'know"

"Eh, I like to make fun of it" Y/N shrugged.

"Alright then, how about I make some popcorn and we can then watch some romantic movies together?"

Y/N cringed internally.

Y/N nodded and followed Tanner around the house as he set everything up.

After setting everything up, they sat down on the couch.

"Okay Y/N this is your chance, flirt with the man. The disgusting.. Perverted... Man." Y/N shivered internally.

"Hey Tanner..."
"Yes?" Tanner looked down to look into Y/Ns eyes
"I know It's weird but..." Y/N acted shy as they looked into Tanners eyes. Starting to get closer to Tanners face.
"Y-yeah..?" Tanner started blushing.
"Can I lay down on you?" Y/N looked into Tanners eyes.
"Oh.. Yeah sure" Tanner seemed disappointed.
"Thanks" Y/N smiled and laid down on Tanner.

Thanks to the handcuffs.
Tanner put his arm over Y/N.

Y/N could feel Tanner getting hotter and his heart pounding a mile a minute.

Y/Ns plan was working.

Tanner then found a random romantic movie and they started watching it in silence.

As they watched the main character of the movie pour their heart out to the love intrest, Y/N turned to Tanner and stared at him, trying to hint that they 'felt the same way' about him.

Tanner noticed and looked at Y/N.
But as he did, Y/N turned back to the movie, trying to act like they have been caught.

Tanner stared at them, trying to make sense of what was happening.

After a long pause of awkward silence.

There was an over dramatic romantic scene, and Y/N started to laugh at the absurdity of the scene, to lighten the mood a little bit.

Tanner, shocked to see Y/N finally laughing, joined in.

They laughed at the movie and the ones after. pointing out every absurd, cringe or overly dramatic scene they could.

After hours of them laughing, it became nighttime and Y/N yawned.

"Are you tired?" Tanner asked.

"Yeah..." Y/N anwsered and then snuggled into Tanners chest.

They weren't tired at all, they couldn't be. They had to be alert at all times around him. But they had to show him that they 'trusted him'

So Y/N turned to look at Tanner, right into his eyes, portraying that they were too tired to have a filter said "Y'know... You're really handsome.." then they put their head down on Tanners chest and closed their eyes.

It made Tanners heart beat like crazy all over again.

Y/Ns plan was working.

After a couple seconds of Tanner being too stunned to speak.

Y/N heard Tanner say something under his breath.

"Sleep tight... My darling..."

He then gently hugged Y/N putting his head on theirs and also felll asleep.
