Your POV:
We have left the Cluster I, and we knew we actually had a chance to leave this place within the next two months. Thanks to 239’s abilities coming back, we could have theoretically moved up to one hundred levels within one day, but we still had to rely on supplies, which unfortunately she wasn't able to create. Nevertheless, it didn’t matter and we entered Level 1057 only to re-fill our containers with almond water, as we didn’t plan to stay in there for too long. However, as it turned out, we were about to get some information about this place from an to us unknown being.Having entered the level, we found a young-looking boy with multiple tails and fox ears coming to the same level through a random portal. He approached one of the vending machines with almond water and ordered a bottle, while 953 and I decided to carefully approach him, as we didn’t know if he could be trusted or not.
- Excuse me, who are you? – I asked him confused and with my weapon ready to defend myself.
- Name's Cross Kyuu, multiversal traveler and adventurer. – He spoke after turning around. – But to be honest, this is the first time I have ever seen SCP world in the Backrooms.
- You know who we are, and what this place is?! – Young-Jae responded with shock.
- Of course I know, 953. I've seen a ton of universes, but this is the first time that I encountered this combination. How'd you end up in here?
- This is kind of mine and 239’s fault. – I said and explained to him everything that had happened before we landed in this place.
- You guys accidentally opened a portal to this place without even knowing about it? You realize that you were probably a couple power percentages away from breaking your universe in its entirety?
- Look Cross, I was just trying to defend myself and my squad, okay? – I spoke slightly annoyed.
- Okay, I get it. Shit happens, do you have a plan to go back, or do you want to stay in here for the rest of your lives?
- We want to escape through level 3999, but it is going to take us a few more weeks before we get there. – Young-Jae told him the truth.
- Hmmm... Well, I've been in and out of several backrooms worlds. I could show you a couple different levels
- Wait a second... – I said confused. – What do you mean by “several Backrooms worlds”?
- The Backrooms are a place between two different worlds. In this case, between yours and another universe, that all those entities arrived from. – He started explaining it to us. – And for each pair of worlds connected like that, one Backrooms universe exists, to hold them together.
- Does this apply to every single universe? – I asked him.
- Nah, only those who forcefully got connected by a multiversal or above being.
- But what is the point of doing this? Because of that, many people get stuck in here, their families will never see them again, and their entire life gets turned by 180 degrees... – I tried to understand the reason for these connections.
- What’s your name by the way? – He looked at me.
- Y/N.
- Y/N..? Oh, one of those... Okay, listen. They're doing this 'cause it's fun for them and they love to watch lower beings struggle for their lives. That's the only reason this sub-universe exists. Entertainment. Someone created this world to see you... more or less, humans, die in here, fighting a fight you never could've won in any reality.
- But it is possible to escape, isn’t it?
- Of course 953. There are a few exits, but they are extremely rare and barely anyone gets a chance to use them. And even if you escape, nobody will believe you. You won’t have any proof that this world exists, and people will say you are crazy.
- We are still going to escape though. We want to leave this world as quickly as possible and then... – Young-Jae started stuttering.
- And then what? – Cross spoke while looking at her. – You will come back to killing each other, won’t you? Even after all this time you have spent in this place together, you will jump at each other’s throats, because you cannot reach an agreement.
- Maybe... Maybe something will change when we come back. – I responded to him.
- Who knows? I have seen multiple SCP worlds already during my journey, and each one of them was different. I don’t know how your journey will end, but I can already say... I am interested to see the ending.
At this moment Abel approached and told us, that they have re-filled all containers with almond water, and we can go back to our journey. However, Cross had different plans, and asked us once again, if we wanted to see those levels. With his protection, we probably wouldn’t die, even in the most dangerous levels, but at the same time we were taking a risk of getting betrayed, so I left him for a moment to discuss it with our commander, and after two minutes we agreed on his offer.
- Excellent! – He spoke excitedly. – I will show you dangerous and safe levels, but don't worry, you'll be fine.
- I truly hope you won’t betray us...
- Don’t worry bud', I won’t. So, let's get this show started, and have some fun, shall we? - He spoke as he snapped his fingers with a smug smile.
