Your POV:
Cross brought all of us to level 3000, and even though normally it was impossible for multiple people to be on this level, thanks to his and 239's reality-bending powers, it became possible. In front of us was a desk with an old, dusty computer. Cross said it contained all data about our lives, but it was up to us if we wanted to use it. Somebody had to volunteer, and after a short quarrel, I decided to input my own code.

The day of my birthday, an important day for me and a tragic day for me was the six-digit code, and after typing it, three files were revealed to me. At first, I was a bit hesitant, but I decided to open the "Past" folder, which materialized as a book with all of my memories. It was fun to read it, and even though some of these memories were painful, there were also some which made all of us laugh.

After that, I clicked the "Present" option, which didn't do much, except show us everything that happened in this level. The only interesting thing which happened thanks to this, was a random camera taking a picture of me, while 953 sneaked behind me and made a funny face behind my back.

- Okay, now open the "Future" file Y/N. - Cross insisted, but Cain slapped him in the face.

- Are you crazy?! - He yelled at him. - Sure, he will know his future, but what's the point of that if he won't be able to change it?! He will have a predestined story and won't be able to get off track!

- You are complaining, turn it on Y/N! - Cross spoke to me, but I refused and said I wanted to go back to leaving the Backrooms.

Slightly annoyed, Cross opened a portal to level 3999, where we would have to finish our final challenges to leave this place once and for all. I grabbed Young-Jae's hand, and together we entered the final level of our journey.

When we went through the portal, almost immediately a sheet of paper appeared in my hands with four tasks I had to perform in order to get out of this place

When we went through the portal, almost immediately a sheet of paper appeared in my hands with four tasks I had to perform in order to get out of this place. I also received a red button, which could bring me immediately to this level. Young-Jae received six tasks, and we decided to do them together on Level 1. 239 opened a passage for us, and having stepped through, we began our final adventure.

My easiest task was drinking some almond water, and I could do it immediately, as I still had some of it on me. The second one was more challenging because I had to get a heart from any entity, but after a bit of searching I found a Hound, which would do the job perfectly. It would also help Young-Jae, as one of her tasks was to eat a part of an entity, so she quickly gathered its liver and began eating it.

My third task was exactly the same as one of hers, and it required us to sing any song in public with at least ten people watching. MEG offered us to do it at their base, and after a few minutes, we left it with one less thing to do. The last thing I had to do was to trap and interview an entity, and I had to think for a few minutes about how to do it. I had to somehow trap it without killing it, and it also had to be sentient enough to reply to my questions. This probably would be my hardest task, and I didn't know how to do it, so I decided to help Young-Jae with her tasks instead.

It took us almost an entire day to get her tasks finished, and theoretically, at this point, she could have left the Backrooms. However, I was still stuck, and she agreed to help me finish it tomorrow. MEG offered us a room at their base on Level 1, and we quickly fell asleep in there. The next day we had to somehow finish this task, and the only thing which came to my mind was trapping a faceling with the hope it would try to respond somehow.

It didn't take us long to find three child facelings, which immediately attacked us. I swiftly killed two of them and together with Young-Jae we managed to put the third one in a cage, which we brought to the base. We confiscated its knife, and we began an interview.

- Okay buddy, tell us. Do you understand what we are saying? Nod your head if you do. - I said and looked at the entity, which grabbed a bottle of almond water and threw it at my face.

- Nice dodge Y/N. - Young-Jae said and gave it a piece of chalk. - Let's do it differently. Write something if you want to live, or attack us if you want to die.

The Faceling didn't care about what she said and threw it at her, while she quickly grabbed my gun and shot it.

- Interview done, result: Child Facelings don't care about anything.

- Young-Jae, there is no way this is going to count as a successful interview... - I responded and pulled out my task list, just to realize the last one was completed. - Nevermind...

Without hesitation, we used the devices given to us on level 3999, pushed the buttons, and re-appeared back in there, where we had to wait for another two days before the rest managed to finish their tasks. Our journey was coming to an end, and while the last two people were finishing their job, I decided to have a serious talk with my girlfriend.

- Hey, Young-Jae? - I spoke and sat next to her.

- Yes Y/N?

- Our adventure is coming to an end, and you know what will happen when we come back to our world...

- I know... - She responded with sadness. - But maybe there is another way. 239 could teleport all of us away from the
Foundation, blow up all of their facilities, we wouldn't have to worry about anyone tracking us...

- You do realize it is impossible to do. When we re-appear, we will be forced to fight, and when that happens... - I stuttered for a moment and gave her my knife. - When that happens, I want you to kill me as quickly as possible.

- What?! Y/N, did you hit your head or what?

- Listen. Foundation has people outside of their facilities. Even if 239 does what you said, they will track us down. They will find us and they won't hesitate to kill us for this. Hell, that's not the only danger! Chaos Insurgency would gladly capture you guys for their own goals, while Global Occult Coalition wouldn't hesitate to put a bullet in your head. This can end only in two ways. Either you kill all of us, escape and start fighting for your survival, which you could probably do, or you would have to peacefully agree to get re-contained, but then the O5 council won't allow us to meet. In both of these options, our relationship is over as soon as we leave this world, and I cannot leave the Foundation, because I have my honor and I am loyal to them.

She stayed silent while tears began dropping from her eyes. It didn't take long for them to appear in mine too because both of us knew this was over. We couldn't be together in the real world, and either she could live freely while I die, or she could stay imprisoned with me being unable to visit her.

We hugged each other, while the last two people entered the level and approached the exit with their tasks finished. Young-Jae tried to give me the knife back, but I refused and told her to hide it under her kimono. I grabbed her hand and together we approached the exit, while Cross and 239 were supervising everyone. Slowly the scenery turned into a, to us, well-known facility, and we knew we were back in the real world.

Author in here. If you have survived until this time, feel free to post a comment about what do you think is going to happen in the Frontrooms? Will the alliance last, or will it end? And what is going to happen to our couple? I am actually curious to see your opinions.
