Chapter 14: An Investigation Walk Into A Bar, A New Girl, and Robot Showdown

By the time my group made it to the dark side of town, it was already nighttime. Yang stops her bike in front of a shady-looking building and takes off her helmet. Then, her yellow motorcycle suit moved off of her and transformed into me as I dust myself off. Neptune, on the other hand, seems to have been winded by the ride itself.

Yang: Whew. Shapeshifting is a really handy power, Carrion.

Carrion: It comes with the rest of me. Would you like to try?

Yang: Ooh~ I so would. But first, we got a job to do. Come on, my friend is in here.

At this time, Neptune catches his breath and gets off the bike.

Neptune: And where exactly is here?

Inside, loud club music can be heard as the guards and thugs inside stand on alert, the colors black, red, and white flash around the place, and the DJ works his musical magic. It would seem like a normal club... 

Guard: HURRY, CLOSE THE DOOR!!! THEY'RE COMING!!!!!

If it weren't for the two guards of the outer doors coming running in, closing the doors behind them shut, and pushing themselves against them to keep them closed.

Boss: What are you two idiots doing!?

All of a sudden, the doors were blown wide open and knocks the guards aside to demonstrate the futility of their effort. Then, Yang enters the scene.

Yang: Guess who's back!?

The guards all point their weapons at Yang, ready to kill her if she makes one wrong move. 

Carrion: Junior's gang, huh? There's more to you than I thought, you little gold mine.

Yang: You know these guys too, handsome?

Grunt 1: THE BLOODY DEMON!?!?!?

Grunt 2: WHAT'S HE DOING HERE!?!?!?!?

Grunt 3: WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE!!!!!

Grunt 4: OPEN FI-!!!!!

Junior: STOP!!!!! STOP, DAMMIT!!!!! STOP!!!!! NOBODY SHOOT!!!!!

The grunts make way for their boss as he straightens himself out to greet us.

Junior: Ahem. Blondie, Bloody. You're back. Why...?

Yang: You still owe me a drink.

She then drags Junior to the bar while his men back out of her way. 

Neptune: Whoa, what a woman... *turns to the twins* ...sup?

Malachite Twins: Hmph. *Walks away* Whatever.

Carrion: Ahem.

The twins immediately stop in their tracks as I hear their hearts racing via my echolocation ability.

Carrion: You may ignore him all you like, but who said you can ignore me? Turn around. 

The twins slowly turn around in my direction but with their heads down as I walk up to them, causing them to shiver and excrete cold sweat.

Carrion: Now, let me have a good look at you two. It has been a while.

They do so slowly and I observe their fearful and submissive faces. I walk closer and closer to them as their breathing becomes shakier and labored. I then walk around them in an infinity shape to get a good look, like walking around a statue to observe for any imperfections. The twins feel my gaze glide over their bodies while silently and desperately praying to live another day. I then stop in front of them.
